Thanatos lets out a howl before there's a voice telling him to stop. He has no choice but to comply with that and he isn't really sure why. All he knows his he can't attack. With the monster placated at least it retreats back into it's more human form.

And all Makoto wishes he could do was bolt before either Haru or Kasumi realized he was too dangerous to be around them.
