It's tempting to ask what the point of being a demon even is, if you can still get laid up in hospital and, theoretically, charged for the privilege.
Please don't feel you need to explain. I know it's more complicated than that.
[How one of them ended up a seven-foot-tall bird demon in the first place... well, that would truly be a story for the ages.]
