"Well... look where we are," Hamuko gestured, the bell tinkling in her hand as she did. "There's a lot of deeply historic Japanese influence here. Bells are always used at shrines and in rituals, right? I never learned more than that, but it makes sense that bells would have to have some measure of meaning and power here."

She did laugh a little at him griping about rude Shadows, though.

"If they're all the subconscious parts of people, well... I guess that explains why they're surly."
