"For a moment there, I thought so too," Hamuko agreed as she settled into the couch. She let out a long, slow breath... the blanket was shockingly comforting. "But, so long as I'm here, I won't let a fight break out. We're all tired after giving our all - some of us might be a little frayed at the edges still."

And since she wasn't (or at least wasn't in a way that made her cranky), she'd take the responsibility of looking out for people until they got their emotional footing back.
