Ann is startled, but she's spent few months managing not to reflexively attack her friends (or random people on the street) when they touch her without warning, so she doesn't actually whirl around to punch the guy who just snuck up on her like her instincts scream to. Sorry, guy--Ann Takamaki is just a little highly strung these days. And she's got a higher propensity for violence than your average Ann.

"Yeah," she says, waving a little hand in greeting as she takes him in. "Pretty much just arrived, but I've met a few other people wandering through here." She squints at him, taking in all the things that are unfamiliar about him. But, even with all that, given the pattern thus far...
