He glances sharply over, hand tightening around the Evoker—but it's just some kid he's never seen before, younger than Raven (younger than he was, than That Akechi was) but closer to that age than to Aki-chan.
He tucks the Evoker into the back of his jeans. No matter how much his skin crawls while he stands on this street, he doesn't need to keep weapons out around little kids. "Hey," he says. "Don't think we've met."
The kid doesn't look so good, actually. Ren can relate.
