Akira's version of Crossroads isn't officially open for business yet, but Akira knows when he's needed (or maybe the universe likes throwing him into the deep end of things, but putting it that way isn't as cool or mysterious). When his kouhai walks through the door of his bar, Akira takes one look at him and cracks open the fridge; by the time Ren's in his barstool, Akira's passing him a stirred cold rocks glass filled with half coffee, half bourbon, a dash of heavy cream, and a sprig of orange peel.

"What are you in the mood for tonight?" He asks, no judgement in his voice. "I'm still short on a few things, but I'm sure I can make something for you."
