Makoto's glad that Ren understands why he took the problem to someone else. It doesn't make him feel like less of an asshole to have told someone else about something that Ren wanted to stay secret, but he did his best to take it to someone that wouldn't blab to half the Velvet Room or get herself needlessly involved.
