[EVENT] 'Tis the Spooky Season...

Autumn is drawing on in the Velvet Room and its environs. The days are colder, the nights are crisper, leaves are a riot of colour ready to fall from the trees. And (besides all the pumpkin spice popping up for some reason) that means only one thing: Hallowe'en!

As the season approaches, you may undergo a mysterious transformation. Perhaps you wake up with wings, or hooves, or gills! Or perhaps your transformation will change more, go deeper... perhaps to your very soul. Who can tell? You might wake up as an animal, or a mythological creature. Or as anything at all.

Transformations will reverse on the morning of November 1st. Probably.

In the meantime, Destinyland is celebrating the holiday. Cheerful Jack-o'-Lantern Shadows have set up on street corners, handing out flyers advertising the park's seasonal festivities. In the days leading up to the 31st, Destinyland will host all the usual fun: Hallowe'en games, Trick or Treat for the babies (and the not-so-babey), the Gorb fortune teller, Shadow-run food stalls serving spooky meals and treats, and, of course, the haunted house with its array of friendly, candy-giving Shadows. Or maybe they're not so friendly.

On the night of Hallowe'en itself, there will be a parade at the park and a grand party out in the main square with food, music, and plenty of space, though characters are not obliged to attend. However, if you wish to show off your new form, see what transformations have been wrought on your fellow guests, or simply take the chance to celebrate, it may be a good opportunity...

Who knows? Perhaps you'll even see some special guests.

Likely another variant of Akechi, younger than most. If he remembered the information from the board correctly, this one was likely to be Jay, but could also be Wagtail.

Put it this way. If Ren didn't like nerdiness, he wouldn't be dating Goro. No, what's making him frown right now is something else.

"So someone else could have a different Caradoc...? Or a different Veles, or whatever?"

That idea doesn't sit well with him.

"It is possible, yes. For instance, Yosuke had the Persona Susano-O, but I'm told that a more generic variant existed, which Makoto Yuki had used in the past. It's also possible that another Persona user could manifest their own version of Caradoc or Veles as reflections of their own souls."

He pauses, as it's easy to see why this might seem off putting.

"However, those Personas would reflect that individual Persona user and reflect their spirit in their own distinct ways. Even if they shared a name, they would still be separate entities."

"Jay, at least here, back home I'm Goro Akechi, but that's what a lot of people here are so it's not very uncommon. You really came at an interesting time, we don't normally have all this fun stuff," he gestured to his ears.

"So I've noticed. Do you like yours?"

She nodded, "Yeah, let's do that." She said softly. It would be better than falling anywhere else after all, he had a point there.

"It took a while to figure out," He said a bit embarrassed, "but I did get to spend more time with someone I care about."

"Oh, so you've made friends around here? How long have you been here?"

Ken started petting Jay again. That's what caused this whole mess to begin with, so maybe that'd help?

If Jay didn't like it, he could easily show it.

"Hmm? Amada-san?"

The new Ken may spot someone approaching from out of the corner of his eye... A mostly transparent figure, that being one of the many versions of Goro Akechi.

"Ah, it seems I was correct. You're new here, aren't you? I hope the current state of affairs haven't been overwhelming you or otherwise disconcerting."

Well, that's the first time someone here greets him by name. He supposes he shouldn't be too surprised, there are two other "Ken Amada" running around.

"I'm indeed new here! I'm Ken Amada, although I suppose you already knew that. Who might you be?"

Oh dear, that's... That's certainly not good. To have gotten a burn like that, that can only mean...

"A form of faerie, then...? If iron burns you in such a fashion..."

His eyes shift to the side, eying the gates. Ah, that would explain why he hasn't stepped in yet... That's very unfortunate. Very, very unfortunate. Akira shouldn't have to miss out on the festivities because of this transformation, that's for sure.

"...I see the gates are certainly a problem."

So what can be done...? He's not certain there's anything he can do, but he can't just give up on it. He doesn't want Akira to have to be left out... Though if Akira wants to hang out somewhere else, he's also up to that.

"We could attempt to find another entrance to the park, if you'd like. Or perhaps, if an amusement park isn't to your liking, we could always spend time elsewhere."

He paused to think about it. "Uh, a few months now." He said thinking a bit.

Akira perks up. "Got it in one," he claps. "I was thinking...wanna help me find an alternate entrance?"

He leaned into his hand. It felt nice, and he relaxed a bit. Ken was safe to him.

"I see. What are you favorite things to do around here? I'm new, so I'd appreciate the advice."

[vessel_ken_amada]

Jay seemed to like it, so he relaxed a little. It was... nice, he supposed.

He was so small, so comfortable. Little small biscuits were made. Maybe maybe a little tired. His eyes closed.

Then another poof, and he was back to human...ish. Still had paws, and ears, and tails.

He hummed thinking about it. His favorite things to do was hanging out with Ken. Well, his Ken. That wasn't exactly something new Ken could do. Ken might feel self conscious and threatened by him.

"The people here aren't bad," he finally answered, that was a good work around.

"Oh, you're back! My intuition was right... somehow. This does not make any sense."

He then smiled at Jay.

"In any case, glad to be able to talk with you again!"

"They certainly feel like a diverse bunch," he mused. "But that's part of why I'm hanging around here, I'm trying to meet the people of this place."

"Ah, not much, we moved on quickly. Mostly just that you were a dragon, too." He goes to scratch the back of his head- only to bonk his hand into a horn. He hisses, pulling it back and glaring at it in betrayal. "Damn horns," he murmurs.

"Either way-" he continues, "he seemed to like you. That's the sense I got."

"Hah...right. Vampire." Akira had to pretend like that statement kept him completely nonchalant. "So like," he scratches his chin and huffs. "You say stereotypical- does that mean Dracula exists in your world?"

"Or are you like the Twilight vampire kind?" He raises a brow- grinning ear to ear as he levels his mischievious gaze at the other before frowning to himself. "Nevermind I don't know if you will even get that reference." No vampire would be as lame as shine like an actual diamond under the sun.

"You chose the costume?" So this one is really cozied up with this world. "I used to read books...now I can't even focus on more than four pages." Its funny because he actually has all the time in the world to catch up with every book the world has to offer. "Come on, help me up- Batman."

He holds up his hand. "No offense man but you did bite me. Still stings, y'know?"
