Akira scoffs, his tone sharp with lingering annoyance as he grabs a tissue from his pocket and dabs at the blood still dripping from his nose. His other hand adjusts the fake sling, brushing it as if to remind himself it’s still there and is totally not off-centre from the middle of his arm.
"Yeah I opened the door, saw you flying in and closed it deciding that- ah" he rolls his eyes and cracks his own back. “Who needs to deal with unexpected projectiles first thing in the morning? But nope, too late to dodge.”
There’s a pause as he glances back at the doppelgänger—his would-be twin—before his expression softens into something less prickly and more curious. His mind flashes briefly to the tapes he received earlier, the fragmented chaos of memories that stirred up old regrets.
