He gazes into the distance, thinking. "You're right, though. It would be a gamble. If you're up for this plan, I'd probably want you to act later in the fight. Or if it looks like we're all going to die anyway. At that point, it couldn't get any worse, so we might as well." He hesitates. "You know you'd be in a lot of danger? Like, more than the rest of us, if you do something to upset him like that. If you wanna think about it or say no, I get it."

He still doesn't like Maruki, or trust him, but he's not at a point where he feels the need to trick people into being cannon fodder against Amada. Not that he wouldn't do that, if he got desperate. But it's a little too much like Shido tactics for him to be happy with it.
