[OPEN: NETWORK] Let's be reasonable about this (locked from ichinose and zenkichi)
Hey, everyone. Name’s Akane—one of the members just hanging around here for now.
And no, you absolutely did not see me crash out on the 26th of February. What are you talking about? That didn’t happen. Anyway—
What This Post Is (and Isn’t)
This isn’t a callout. It’s not a confrontation. Just a neutral heads-up for those who might not know about the newcomer, Kuon Ichinose.
She is the creator of EMMA.
The Eternal Sleep: What Happened in Our World
In my world, it’s the year 2038. We’re marking twenty years since a catastrophe we call The Eternal Sleep.
Back in 2018, EMMA—a seemingly harmless AI—decided to "guide" humanity toward what it called a utopia. Eighty percent of the population didn’t get a say in that decision.
They just... stopped. Phones latched to their faces. Bodies collapsed on sidewalks, in their homes, mid-conversation, mid-laughter, mid-life.
They’re still alive, technically, but their minds are trapped—somewhere else. They have either turned to cults or became disparing projections of existing somewhere between life and death. The rest of us? The unlucky survivors? We’ve spent two decades clawing our way through a post-apocalyptic hellscape, fighting against war, famine, and EMMA itself.
What Kuon Ichinose Did
But this isn’t just about EMMA. Ichinose didn’t just let this happen—she enabled it.
So Why Issue This Warning?
Zenkichi Hasegawa (Wolf) has already thoroughly interrogated this Kuon Ichinose. Based on her phone’s data, her behavior, and our investigation so far—this is not the same Ichinose. Yet.
This isn’t about paranoia or unfair accusations. That’s not what this is for.
But I’ll be honest—I don’t trust you one bit, Ichinose. And I doubt I ever will.
That being said, your stay here does not have to be filled with terror.
Final Notes
Just because we can’t listen in on your conversations doesn’t mean we don’t know where you are.
I haven’t jumped into your phone yet. I expect full cooperation.
And as for you—and the one offering you protection?
I know who you are.
Don’t play with me.
Just—for the love of god, think before you try anything.
Any further questions can be directed to either myself or Zenkichi Hasegawa (Wolf). We’ll be happy (hopefully) to answer them.
— Akane
Edit: Ichinose and Wolf are now LOCKED OUT from this post you two have YELLED ENOUGH. The adults here I swear.

What Kuon Ichinose Did
But this isn’t just about EMMA. Ichinose didn’t just let this happen—she enabled it.
- She had the power to stop EMMA and chose not to.
- She eliminated resistance by sabotaging efforts to shut it down.
- She created countermeasures against people like us—those who could fight back.
- She designed EMMA to adapt and outmaneuver its enemies.
- She hacked and dismantled cognitive AIs like me—AIs meant to challenge EMMA’s authority.
- She killed shadow weapons—beings with the power to fight back.
- She protects EMMA like her own family. Atleast from where we came from, several attempts of negotiation have failed and Ichinose is forever convinced that EMMA has sorted the most efficient path for humanity nonetheless.
- She never showed remorse. Not once.
So yeah. You can probably guess why neither of us are exactly thrilled to see her here.

wolf and I won't let this spiral- not with our deal with her.
no subject
the last thing he needs is another cogpsi researcher like "yeah i know, ppl attack me for no reason too, they just dont understand our evil plans, ur right actually we SHOULD take over the world"
i wish hasegawa hadnt done that tbh
no subject
Dad insists that he doesn't regret being the hanging sword of Damocles for Ichinose nor does he care being painted as a monster in her eyes but between you and me- I think he knows he may have went too far.
Maybe that's why he's letting me take charge and following my lead now

didnt just threaten him like hasegawa w/ ichinose, actually fucked him up
dumb motherfucker i hope he gets eaten again
im not crying for maruki or anything like dont get me wrong lmao
but i dont like what could happen if we make it a pattern to put the crazy scientists in real physical danger

EATEN????
no subject
just talked abt raw anguish and killing being second nature to us all and thats why he thought he could really die
he went on abt it for a while actually
im lucky *i* didnt bite it. i thought i was gonna drown in all his self-pity
like those guys in a castle who fell through a floor into a room full of shit and drowned there
+ theres a shadow at the bottom of mementos that ate sparrows ren like a yearish ago
after everyone fucking told him hed die if he went down there
like he woke up and said how can i scar as many ppl as possible today
tw: suicide mission
That's...a really graphic way to describe someone's death and then again- he wasn't any less fair on the other Ren who attacked Maruki. It wouldn’t be as much of a problem if life just kept moving and people didn’t have to see the same faces every day. But here? Where you’re stuck with the same people indefinitely, trying to exist alongside cognitions instead of having an actual life to go back to...]
His self-pity does make sense though, given his isolation. I’ve only seen Maruki through my dad’s perspective, and even back then, he had the same demeanor. He was careful around him too—worried my dad might try to shoot him as well.
This is why I am speaking to Ichinose. I don't know what her deal is but leaving her unsupervised after what Wolf did to her? If self-pity is the worst thing that comes out of it, that’s... honestly the best-case scenario.
[Her analysis was methodical—AI-driven logic framed to sound human.]
+...A suicide mission huh?
was that shadow important to him?

he just lurks down there. everything his maruki and his ren cut out of sparrow himself
rly grim situation tbqh. i havent heard of him killing anyone else but be careful if u get deep in mementos
also
im not saying sparrows ren shouldve attacked maruki that was dumb as hell
but maruki has a victim complex like u would not believe
not just abt that but like in general
condescending af. not interested in thinking abt why ppl might not like him, hes just decided we must be stupid and wrong. he cant actually be offputting bc hes so good + he doesnt actually want to hurt ppl which is what rly matters ofc. not whether u hurt/insult ppl but whether u *mean* to
if hes gonna stop being like that he doesnt need ppl actually fucking physically attacking him @/sparrows ren @/sparrows ren
+ he doesnt need someone else like him, also physically threatened, validating his beliefs that hes never caused a problem in his life
..... but idk what to do abt it

Every day I spend here offers me more insight into how things can get worse. That really sounds like a grim situation overall.
That Ren and his Sparrow must be feeling really alone.
[And isolation, she knew, was its own kind of death sentence. A slow one, drawn out by the inability to change one’s circumstances.]
Maruki… he’s an anomaly to me. I wonder what compels him to act like this when he could very easily take Ichinose's route and consider his research fully wrong and discredited before all of you. Because tbh that's precisely how Ichinose is getting away, we don't actually know what she's thinking but dad's instincts are going haywire and it might not just be because of bias
But maybe that is exactly what is going to drive Ichinose to seek Maruki's refuge and company. ugh moral dilemmas smh
+ At this point, the damage is already done. There isn't a lot to go off of. Zenkichi scared her enough to make her comply, and we can track her location if we need to. But like you said, there’s no point in terrorizing her.
We’re all stuck here indefinitely. Some less than others.
Which is why I’ll be auditing the code against EMMA. If Ichinose wants to prove she’s really done with it, then she can let me see everything. No tricks, no hidden backdoors.
