Ken looked at Jay as if he said something extremely weird, taking a moment before realizing what he actually meant.
"You don't understand. This is not something that can be fixed. Even the simple fact of existing brings me pain. My patchwork of a body leaves me in constant, excruciating pain. The only reason you don't hear me scream is because I got used to it. And that is only the least of my worries..."
He sighed, and continued in a very quiet voice.
