[Visitors to the Velvet Room are in for an unusual sight.

Gorb balloons. Streamers. Banners that not only read, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GORO AKECHI! but also...

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR FRIENDSHIP!

This particular banner has cutesy illustrations of a normal Akechi and Falcon. Yes, really.

There are multiple, multi-layered cakes. One is an angel food cake, decorated to resemble Robin Hood. Then there's another cake, fashioned after Loki, with lovingly decorated dazzle camouflage frosting. Inside is a heavenly red velvet.

Lastly, there's a purely chocolate delight, patterned after Hereward.

There are even little Gorb cupcakes, designed to look like the myriad Akechis resident in the Velvet Room. Fresh brewed coffee and Jazz Jin mocktails await those who seek a beverage, and there's even some curry. How thoughtful!

There's a moment where Falcon seems to stagger at Zenkichi's words, taking them in... then, he rolls his eyes as comprehension dawns.

"Very funny," he says, somewhat sharply, but it's not malicious, and his expression quickly mellows out again, somewhat. "But... I suppose that's fair. You've already seen the inside of my heart; it's not like there's much left to hide."

He seems to turn something over in his mind, before he continues.

"... And, I suppose you are my half-brother, in a way," he says. "Getting to know you won't be the worst thing in the world... if you don't mind."

"Heh," he grins at Falcon's apprehension- not at all apologetic for his words. It's true that what Zenkichi may have seen, as someone who didn't even know a Goro Akechi or Falcon in general for long- doesn't have much of a say when it comes to the other's personal matters at the end of the day.

He shakes his head at the way the other speaks to him, guard up while keeping his words usually neutral.

"Jeez, Falcon," he chuckles at the unspoken permission he was asking of him. "What? Do you not wanna know what's trending in the late future? Or give you blueprints on designs that can help you get stronger for the real worst things in the world?"

He crosses his arms. "I won't bite if you want to strike a deal. Or just...getting to know me, well- sure. I am as hip as most of the kids here-!"

Falcon rolls his eyes at Zenkichi's words.

"Sure you are," he says, raising an eyebrow. "That's exactly what an adult who doesn't know a thing about what's 'hip with the kids' would say."

"Hey, watch your mouth, you punk." He levels a look at him and sarcastically mirrors his smirk. There's no bite at all in his words.

"Technically you need to be hip with me anyway."

Still he sobers up almost right after, shrugging as he looks ahead. "But I digress."

"Uh-huh. When were you born again?" Falcon quips back, undeterred, though he sobers when Zenkichi does.

"... Right," he says, trailing off.

"I won't be able to give you a clear answer on that yet," he waves his hand. "Anyways, I am just messing with you, kid."

"Go and enjoy your party. If not, atleast demand something big from the attendants there since clearly you can't even eat any of this human food," he remarks- shaking his head. He did read the blueprints, you know. He remembers that little detail. "..I can rarely tell if their hearts are in the right place or not."
