[Visitors to the Velvet Room are in for an unusual sight.

Gorb balloons. Streamers. Banners that not only read, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GORO AKECHI! but also...

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR FRIENDSHIP!

This particular banner has cutesy illustrations of a normal Akechi and Falcon. Yes, really.

There are multiple, multi-layered cakes. One is an angel food cake, decorated to resemble Robin Hood. Then there's another cake, fashioned after Loki, with lovingly decorated dazzle camouflage frosting. Inside is a heavenly red velvet.

Lastly, there's a purely chocolate delight, patterned after Hereward.

There are even little Gorb cupcakes, designed to look like the myriad Akechis resident in the Velvet Room. Fresh brewed coffee and Jazz Jin mocktails await those who seek a beverage, and there's even some curry. How thoughtful!

Falcon scrunches his nose. He and Crow aren't... on great terms still (from his side, at least), but he's trying to give the guy a chance. So, the expression isn't (fully) aimed at him, but rather, at the situation at hand.

"Lovely," he deadpans. "This is exactly what I wanted; even more eyes on my interpersonal relationships."

The sarcasm drips off his words. Obviously.

"They really should consider having a box for feedback at this point. Whether or not they heed it is another story entirely, but at least it would give the appearance of caring."

Even so, he takes another small bite, chewing contemplatively. "I could always try to take the banner down, or see if Hiro is willing."

"I'm not an invalid. I can do it myself if I want to," Falcon bites, acid on his tongue, before he makes a small robotic noise.

"... but thank you for offering, regardless."

He's trying, okay?!

"I never said you were." Still, his voice is light, lacking in any particular offense. "Only you can decide what's right for you. If you'd sooner leave it be and go elsewhere, then so be it."
