He was supposed to be departing the station. Rather pertinent business beckoned, considering he had a "debt to society" to fulfill in exchange for his supposed freedom.
Laughable, really. Here he is, alive and "well," only to once again be called for the whims of others. And a Kirijo, no less.
Except now? Ha... Now he's in a room bathed in blue, with mysterious doors and a man with an unbelievably long nose. Bonds? He scoffs.
"Perhaps this is hell." He deserves nothing less, really, after everything he's done.
But here he is, so he might as well get his bearings. That board seems... promising. Perhaps that's where he'll start.
A. The Board
As he peruses the board, Akechi's eyes narrow further. "Fated to be together... Really now?" A bitter laugh escapes him. Then again, it's entirely possible that sentimental fool is the reason he still draws breath. He'll give the author that much, although...
So many other versions of him, allegedly. He'll be the judge of that in time, but what especially grabs his attention is one of the codenames among the lot.
Crow. Someone took Crow.
Agitation grips him. His fists curl up, and he takes a deep breath.
Clearly, it was first come, first serve, yet... engaged. It's joke after joke with this place, isn't it?
Eventually, he departs, desperate to clear his head.
B. Leblanc
It looks so authentic, and he hovers outside the door. His only real reason for being there left on a train. Any others... would they even be 'his'? It's not like him to be fearful, outwardly, at least, yet he hesitates a bit too long.
It's perhaps a bit conspicuous.
C. Jazz Jin
Eventually, he finds himself in Jazz Jin, but like the other locations, it's not the same. Hollow facsimiles, if anything. Muhen isn't there, but perhaps it's for the best, given the uncanniness of the "people" populating this city.
The drinks are... passable, he supposes, and the music bearable. A simple comfort. He'll take what he can get.
D. Network
Allow me to cut to the chase.
I've read the board. I'm aware of the overall situation.
It also appears that there are a number of Palaces registered on the MetaNav.
Am I correct that Masayoshi Shido is not present in any meaningful fashion? Presumably, most authority figures are rather lacking, and our "host" seems to have very little interest in doing more than droning on about "bonds."
Someone also seems quite adamant about defending Dr. Maruki. I trust this is a minority opinion, given the responses on the matter?
I've little patience for those who would defend such a man.
