The Ken Amada who made certain threats, whom Igor didn't bring to the Velvet Room and didn't welcome, has been permanently contained within his other-world self. Many of the Velvet Room residents mobilized in the effort to neutralize the threat he posed, and now, in the moments after the devastating battle that sealed Ken away, perhaps you have business to conclude.

Maybe you're a fighter, left in the rubble the battle made of its surroundings—or maybe you were a noncombatant this time, left behind to wonder what's happening or prepare for the aftermath. Maybe you linger around the battle site, or maybe you have other things to do.

Or maybe you didn't survive. Maybe you're one of the glowing forms slowly coalescing in front of Igor's desk in the Velvet Room over the course of the subsequent half hour. Igor presides over them gravely, with no sign of his usual smile. Near his desk sits a box of snacks, familiar to anyone who's used the operation's training room.

[[ooc: This post is a general catch-all for the aftermath of the battle! It's backdated to February 26, the day Ken got got.]]

On the morning of November 21st, denizens in the Velvet Room will awake to a message on their phones or by their bedsides in an envelope. Perhaps even on their computer screens.

Greetings! If you've received this message, then you've been selected as a participant in a new activity to strengthen bonds within this community.

In order to facilitate connections with your fellow residents, we advise you to watch this video. Watch it and return the tape to its rightful owner. If you lacked the means to watch VHS tapes before, we have provided you with the necessary equipment.

Failure to do so may put your own memories at risk. Do not be selfish, lest you find yourself struggling to recall crucial moments of your life. You have no way of knowing which memories have been shared, so ask yourself if it is worth the risk to selfishly hoard another's secrets.

They will soon find a VHS tape, with a case that gives off a soft, blue glow to symbolize its importance. If they lack a TV or VCR, they will find one in their living space.

What they do is up to them, but they should heed the warning, if they value their own memories.

[For links to characters' memories, please see this post in the OOC comm. Have fun!]

He was supposed to be departing the station. Rather pertinent business beckoned, considering he had a "debt to society" to fulfill in exchange for his supposed freedom.

Laughable, really. Here he is, alive and "well," only to once again be called for the whims of others. And a Kirijo, no less.

Except now? Ha... Now he's in a room bathed in blue, with mysterious doors and a man with an unbelievably long nose. Bonds? He scoffs.

"Perhaps this is hell." He deserves nothing less, really, after everything he's done.

But here he is, so he might as well get his bearings. That board seems... promising. Perhaps that's where he'll start.

A. The Board

As he peruses the board, Akechi's eyes narrow further. "Fated to be together... Really now?" A bitter laugh escapes him. Then again, it's entirely possible that sentimental fool is the reason he still draws breath. He'll give the author that much, although...

So many other versions of him, allegedly. He'll be the judge of that in time, but what especially grabs his attention is one of the codenames among the lot.

Crow. Someone took Crow.

Agitation grips him. His fists curl up, and he takes a deep breath.

Clearly, it was first come, first serve, yet... engaged. It's joke after joke with this place, isn't it?

Eventually, he departs, desperate to clear his head.

B. Leblanc

It looks so authentic, and he hovers outside the door. His only real reason for being there left on a train. Any others... would they even be 'his'? It's not like him to be fearful, outwardly, at least, yet he hesitates a bit too long.

It's perhaps a bit conspicuous.

C. Jazz Jin

Eventually, he finds himself in Jazz Jin, but like the other locations, it's not the same. Hollow facsimiles, if anything. Muhen isn't there, but perhaps it's for the best, given the uncanniness of the "people" populating this city.

The drinks are... passable, he supposes, and the music bearable. A simple comfort. He'll take what he can get.

D. Network

Allow me to cut to the chase.

I've read the board. I'm aware of the overall situation.

It also appears that there are a number of Palaces registered on the MetaNav.

Am I correct that Masayoshi Shido is not present in any meaningful fashion? Presumably, most authority figures are rather lacking, and our "host" seems to have very little interest in doing more than droning on about "bonds."

Someone also seems quite adamant about defending Dr. Maruki. I trust this is a minority opinion, given the responses on the matter?

I've little patience for those who would defend such a man.

On the morning of August 9th, everyone will receive an invitation to a special get-together on the Nav.

It reads, "In honor of a year of bonds and irreplaceable memories, you are humbly invited to celebrate amongst your community. Dress as you like, and take pride in your personal progress. We even have awards to celebrate the tremendous growth of our residents."

Those who pass through the Velvet Room today will find themselves in a wide, grand ballroom not unlike the Halloween Party. There's a grand buffet of all manner of foods, both simple and lavish, as well as a multi-tiered cake with a plastic number 1 on top, such as you see on birthday cakes.

A wall can be found with a list of awards for characters and corresponding medals and trophies for them to take, should they so choose, such as Most Improved, Kindest, or whatever suits them the most—or perhaps they've received no award at all.

Bright and obnoxious banners and decorations hang overhead that say, 'HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!'

There's a dance floor, chairs for sitting and enjoying the atmosphere, and no shortage of activities, from a ballpit full of Gorbs, Rorbs, and Hee-horbs to a number of quirky arcade games and miscellaneous activities. Pin the nose on the Igor? Whack-a-Shido? Feel free to make up your own shenanigans.

Who knows? Perhaps you'll even meet a few unexpected guests.

[OOC: Happy anniversary, everyone! To celebrate, have a cute party mingle. We'll also have a thread where guest characters can show up. This is a great way to invite friends who may wanna see if they click with the community or to throw in characters just for fun, if you so choose.]

Dove's felt a bit restless today, and as such he's decided he's going to go out and actually do something with his time instead of just staying cooped up in his apartment or pushing through Tartarus or Mementos all by his lonesome.

After all, it wouldn't do him any good to sit around and sulk, not now. He needs to stay positive, surely. He's made progress... even if it doesn't feel like much. Something feels just a bit more... normal now. He can't quite put his finger on it, either, but he feels more level. Perhaps he's just gotten used to being here in the Velvet Room.

So instead of moping about, instead of getting too stuck in his head and going in circles, he decides to spend some time out and about, and get some fresh air.

Option 1: Jazz Jin is always pleasant. The atmosphere is just exquisite, and the drinks are fine. There's a random cognition singing an oh so familiar song, perhaps influenced by his own expectations of what should be here. He quietly sips at his brightly colored beverage, looking off to the side. You know, it's a bit boring being here alone...

Option 2: He's in the area, why not check out Penguin Sniper, and play some darts? It's been a while, and he could do with some practice. The dart in his hand feels almost foreign, showing just how long it's been since he's tried it, and he can't help but feel a swell of frustration as he actually misses the bullseye by just a hair. Clearly he's gotten rusty.

Option 3: That's enough of Kichijoji. Let's skip ahead to Crossroads. Dove has a friend there, after all, and it's natural he'd want to go see how he's been doing during this period of time. It's strange though, Crossroads isn't a place he would frequent at home by any means, but he's found himself visiting more and more here, thanks to Akira. So he steps in with that newly found, confident look of his.

Option 4: And again, Dove finds himself wandering through Tokyo, this time in Shibuya. He doesn't have a particular goal in mind at this point, instead just letting himself enjoy the air instead of being stuck inside. His eyes trail towards the book store, pausing as he sees it.

Option 5: And last, but not least... good ol' Leblanc. He can't forget a visit to Leblanc. Plus some coffee will help him with having enough energy to stay awake for his nightly Tartarus visit... unfortunately he's struggling to actually make the coffee. It's apparent as he stares at the horrifying mess of a cup on the counter in front of him, face completely blank.

Just to update you all: I discussed the situation with Drake, and as expected, he was not amenable to our infiltrating *or entering* the Palace. At all.

Several of you have made clear, and I agree, that this infiltration can only proceed with Drake's permission. More than that, I believe we'll need his direct involvement. So we're effectively on hold, unless he asks for our help.

That does mean I won't be distributing the keywords any further than they already have been. Apologies for that. Also, I think it would be best if those of us *with* the keywords stayed out of the Palace entirely, unless and until we have permission to enter.

I'd suggest those of us who need to train up use this time for that. I'm including myself in that. 😂

Any questions?

[He will be so unsurprised if the first one is "how did you fuck this up so badly, exactly".]

[OOC: This post will be edited depending on what you say your characters are voting.]

Hello everyone,

I thought it would be useful to have a pulse on public opinion about the management of this place, so I am organizing a poll here.

How would you rate Igor's management of this place?

To clarify, what I am seeking is your overall opinion on how he is running the place. This includes how he shaped the cognitive areas, his policies on entry and exit, the rules he is imposing or not... He is basically the leader of this place, he should be subject to public scrutiny like any other political leader.

...Amazing: â–ˆ (1 vote)
......Good: ████ (4 votes)
.....Mixed: â–ˆ (1 vote)
......Poor: â–ˆ (1 vote)
.Atrocious: ████ (4 votes)
No opinion: ██ (2 votes)

Do not hesitate to expand your thoughts in the comments if you so wish.

[For now, Ken holds off voting on his own poll, to present it 'pristine' to others.]

[[OOC: again, this post is closed to Smol and Sunflowkechi.]]

Down in Mementos, on the Path of Adyeshach, a lone figure moves in shadow, on silent feet. Every Shadow he sees, he approaches from behind, launching a wire from his wrist to drag it into dizzied, dizzying combat. Most of them he dispatches fast; others take more strategy, more care. But none of this is hard.

He's stronger than he was when he began; not as much stronger as he'd expect to get over the course of a Palace mission, but not far off it. He's been in the Velvet Room worrying Igor, figuring out how the hell it all works without the twins and fake Igor and their—his?—assorted petty barbarisms. His Personas are better than they were when he arrived, and he's continuing to fuse new ones, to train them and see what they can do.

Amazing how easy it can be. Amazing how, as one Shadow after the next falls to him, everything but this vanishes from his mind. Like this is what he was born for. Like it's the only true freedom he knows.

Up ahead of him, there's another stronger Shadow with its red aura—it will be Girimehkala, so he'll use Lancelot to sweep it up, or it'll be Kumbhanda, and pretty much every new Persona he's acquired since he arrived has Psy to deal with that. Except then he senses someone coming, further down the tunnel. Not a Shadow, but someone else.

Quickly, he ducks into the shadows by the tunnel wall, out of sight, to see who it is.

Goro is going to Mementos later. Actually, he was in Mementos yesterday. And the day before. And last night, he was in Tartarus with Phoenix and the crew (and the less said about working with Magpie the better).

Either way, he needs food, and would anyway. And so will Ren, and Morgana, and Phoenix's team. And cooking takes some of the stress off him; always has. So he's at Leblanc's small sink, peeling and quartering potatoes like his life depends on it. There are the beginnings of dark circles under his eyes. He's got to save Ren, and he can't even set foot in the Palace.

Since a certain someone insisted I make this post sooner rather than later, despite the current situation we have on our hands, I suppose I may as well.

I am looking for volunteers who are willing to help me move my charging station to my new living space. Much as I'd like to do it myself, I am but one machine, and I was not made to move room-sized charging stations by myself. As I'd like to get this over with as soon as possible, I am requesting the help of those who are willing to provide. Ideally, I am looking for at least one person with experience in engineering, as the station will have to be both disassembled and reassembled properly, if such a person is present in the Velvet Room. As for anyone else, simply carrying parts of the station to the new location would be great.

We are moving the building station

FROM: Kichijoji

TO: Inaba

Full addresses will be sent out to those participating.

Thank you for your time.

Well. Some of the past few days were... difficult, to say the least. He had hurt Raven, he had been very stressed, his face was now deeply scarred, he had snapped a few times...

But after some days of recovery, he felt a bit better. And now he even felt good enough to just... go outside, relax, and maybe talk to some people.

After informing Raven of where he was going and when he intended to come back (something he now always did, to make sure Raven would never get anxious ever again about him being gone), he was now just... sitting on a bench in Inaba, relaxing, enjoying the fresh air.

If one were to greet him at such a moment, Ken would be disposed to have a nice chat with them.

All of the places here are like places the people here have been to, right? Do you have any fun memories to share about some of them? It can be anything, like visiting one of the stores around the town or fighting Shadows.

There's a church I visit sometimes where a friend of mine and I have been sharing our interests with one another. She's been teaching me about shogi, and I've been showing her gymnastics.

What about you?
