Lyssi found himself wanting to learn more. He's learned a lot since he's arrived in the Velvet Room, but there's still so much more to learn, and as such, he's decided to take a nice, long walk around the various areas of the Velvet Room to see just what he can find.

After all, he's learned about fishing and handling prey, as well as the fact that the orbs are stealing peoples' likeness without permission and thus need to be eliminated, but surely there's more, correct?

Just what will he discover today?

Option 1: Through the streets of Tokyo, Lyssi finds himself staring up at a particular restaurant. Big Bang Burger... It is said that there is a challenge there, a burger that will send you to the very stars themselves. Granted, Lyssi can only eat small amounts at a time and he doesn't really get much enjoyment out of it (What is taste, he wonders? He can register different ingredients, but they do not 'taste' different, as far as he can note).

But he finds himself perplexed. How does a burger send you to the stars? How does it rival outer space? He stares at the advertisement on the window for the Big Bang Challenge with a blank stare.

Option 2: As Lyssi steps up to the shrine in Inaba, he looks up at the building with that same blank stare of his. A shrine... a place of worship and prayer. From what he understands, students come here in order to pray for good grades.

Perhaps he should pray to be more human?

And so he takes a step closer... and continues to stare.

How does one pray?

Option 3: In Iwatodai, Lyssi has found himself staring at the flowers at Rafflesia. All of them vivid colors, all of them beautiful... but he simply stares at them with that blank expression. They just... look like plants to him. Products of the Earth, bees gather pollen from flowers such as these.

...Why do the cognitive people gather them? Why are they sold? He doesn't understand.

He picks up a rose, staring at it as it pokes at one of its thorns. Why does it have thorns? To protect itself from potential threats? That much is obvious, but...

"..."

...He's not sure. It feels as though there's something more to it, somehow.

I am unable to find my charging station in Iwatodai. My charging station has been removed from its place within the last several years, and there are no other charging stations readily available.

My power has been depleting slowly during my time in the Velvet Room, but it is still depleting. If I do not find a charging station soon, then I will shut down.

I require assistance, please. 'Please' is the word I am meant to say in this instance, correct?

Sincerely,
Ulysses

On the morning of August 9th, everyone will receive an invitation to a special get-together on the Nav.

It reads, "In honor of a year of bonds and irreplaceable memories, you are humbly invited to celebrate amongst your community. Dress as you like, and take pride in your personal progress. We even have awards to celebrate the tremendous growth of our residents."

Those who pass through the Velvet Room today will find themselves in a wide, grand ballroom not unlike the Halloween Party. There's a grand buffet of all manner of foods, both simple and lavish, as well as a multi-tiered cake with a plastic number 1 on top, such as you see on birthday cakes.

A wall can be found with a list of awards for characters and corresponding medals and trophies for them to take, should they so choose, such as Most Improved, Kindest, or whatever suits them the most—or perhaps they've received no award at all.

Bright and obnoxious banners and decorations hang overhead that say, 'HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!'

There's a dance floor, chairs for sitting and enjoying the atmosphere, and no shortage of activities, from a ballpit full of Gorbs, Rorbs, and Hee-horbs to a number of quirky arcade games and miscellaneous activities. Pin the nose on the Igor? Whack-a-Shido? Feel free to make up your own shenanigans.

Who knows? Perhaps you'll even meet a few unexpected guests.

[OOC: Happy anniversary, everyone! To celebrate, have a cute party mingle. We'll also have a thread where guest characters can show up. This is a great way to invite friends who may wanna see if they click with the community or to throw in characters just for fun, if you so choose.]

Lyssi has found himself in quite an interesting situation. After all, he's not used to seeing Iwatodai as it normally is, covered in sunlight with people bustling about. It's all so... so incomprehensible. This is what it's like outside of the Dark Hour.

He knows full well that people exist as more than coffins during that time, but he's always been restricted to the Kirijo Goup's labs during the daytime. He only sees the sunlight through windows or footage, never managing to experience it for himself.

So he finds himself almost overloaded with information, taking it all in with ravenous curiosity.

The entirety of Iwatodai is here before him, and now he can do whatever he wants. But... what does he want?

-------

Option 1: He's wandering the Strip Mall, finding himself taking in the sights, the bustling people. He can't help but tilt his head slightly, seeing the cognitive people passing by. They don't register on his scanners, and yet, he feels the pressure of bumping into people as he walks through the crowd...

His eyes turn up towards the upper balcony eyeing the various stores and restaurants. He's never visited one properly. He just followed Nanami into various stores when she followed her various whims and curiosity, never quite processing what it must be like during the day.

He begins walking up the stairs, trying to decide where to investigate first.

Option 2: Of all the things he could be doing with his time, he finds himself visiting Gekkoukan High School, right outside the school gates. Again, his eyes linger up at it, a brief look of confusion appearing on his face. After all, it didn't look anything like this in his world. It should be... well, not in good condition, to say the least.

But an idea strikes him... The cognitive people function like normal people... Would that possibly include teachers? Classes being given? Does that mean he could attend a class and see what it's like? He's heard about it from Nanami, who seems to find school rather boring... but the idea of doing something required in a human's daily life is something that he almost can't resist.

So he actually proceeds to go through the gate, and begin walking into the school.

Option 3: Paulownia Mall looks newer, far newer than the one he's used to. It's so sleek and bright, and the fountains immediately catch his attention. He stares into the water, staring at the countless coins scattered at the bottom of it.

He lifts one of them from within the fountain, blinking with that blank expression of his... He remembers Nanami saying that she would flick a coin in once in a while, and make a wish... but she would never tell him what she wished for. She said it was a secret, one that if she revealed it, would make it so it would never come true.

He just stares at the coin, hunched down in front of the fountain in the middle of the mall.

The look on Ulysses' face remains level, eerily so as he stares across the Velvet Room at Igor. No emotion crosses his face as he listens to what Igor says, before slowly looking around the room and stepping forward to get a better look.

He digs through his data banks for any sign of something known as the 'Velvet Room', but no such data can be found.

"...I have no data on the 'Velvet Room'. I need more information."

But alas, Ulysses doesn't quite realize that asking Igor is going to go nowhere. So he spends a good while trying to ask questions, only to be nudged slightly more directly to go pursue answers elsewhere, and actually make the bonds he's supposed to make.

'Bonds'... He means relationships, correct? That is something he's not entirely sure how to do. He knows people, yes, but... bonds are a human thing. He's not human, he's a machine, created to destroy Shadows. That is his duty.

But either way, he does still need to learn more about his situation.

Option 1: Ulysses finds himself staring at the conspiracy board, registering all of the information to his memory. So much is here, and it seems that everyone is aware of there being Personas and Shadows? It contradicts everything he knows about the Dark Hour, and yet, it seems time moves quite differently here...

Option 2: Ulysses steps into Iwatodai's door, and finds himself in front of Gekkoukan High School. He stares at it with blank eyes as he goes through his memory, and... yes, this is indeed where the explosion took place. This is where Tartarus appears every night. They rebuilt the school? He checks the time... The Dark Hour does, in fact, begin soon.

Option 3: He finds himself opening another door, this time finding himself near what seems to be Tokyo, particularly the Odaiba area. It's not far away from Iwatodai or Tatsumi Port Island, but the atmosphere somehow feels... different. He looks around, blankly staring as he walks forward.
