It has been several days, a week, perhaps a month at most since Briar has been seen in the Velvet Room. It could be assumed she found herself back home, safe and sound...

And yet, to no one's surprise, she has found herself here once more... though she looks a tad different. She's still wearing her glasses, though she has her hair pulled back into a red ribbon while letting most of her hair rest down her back still. A combination of her and Kasumi's hairstyles.

Her clothes are more breezy, perhaps indicating it's summertime. She's wearing a cute, white blouse with a blue skirt with matching sandals.

But the one thing that may stand out the most is the air about her. She doesn't have as much nervous energy... or even the cheerful energy she would have at times. No, she seems almost lacking in energy at all, perhaps even seeming distant. A hint of seriousness lingers around her, and the look in her eyes don't seem quite as bright as before. No, she seems... older. More mature. And yet... hardened slightly.

What could have happened?

--

Option 1: Briar finds herself at Leblanc, simply sitting at the counter, drinking a cup of coffee. She stares at the cup with a quiet, almost unreadable expression on her face as she does so.

She lingers on it, lost in her thoughts. How long has it been since she's been here...? Some time. It feels like it was so long ago, and yet... here she is. It's all the same. Perhaps not much time has passed here, she thinks to herself.

She wonders where everyone is. Perhaps they're not awake yet, given she's arrived rather early in the morning, it seems...

Option 2: The next place she finds herself is Jazz Jin. She sits alone at one of the tables, simply waiting for her drink. All alone, she finds herself lost in her head once more. She finds herself thinking back on the times with Shirogane-- or rather Akechi, as he demanded to be called during the last series of battles they had to face.

She hopes he's OK after that... He disappeared after they faced Maruki, and none of the Phantom Thieves have heard a single word from him. There's no telling where he is or what he's gotten into. They're... still friends, right? He still knows that, right...?

Option 3: And last, but not least, Briar finds herself at the Underground Mall in Shibuya, walking through it as she finds herself in front of the flower shop. All of the beautiful flowers available... Especially the roses... She stops, finding herself eying the red roses with a quiet and distant look in her eyes.

She thinks of them. Kasumi... Ren... Roses are linked to both of them... It always comes back to them, doesn't it? And yet, her expression is vaguely distant.

Sumire is in Junes, and she's on a mission. That mission? Finding the perfect gift for one Raven. After all, she can't go to his party empty-handed! That would be rude, and she can't stand the thought of that...

"..."

But the more she looks around Junes, the more she realizes... What on Earth should she even get for the kid? She doesn't really know what he likes. She hardly knows what her Akechi likes. So... what should she do? Surely Junes has something he would like, right? It has everything!

"Oh... What should I get...?"

Right now she's found herself at the food court... again. She's passed through it multiple times, trying to find the right gift. Honestly, it's a little frustrating.

I've had a question I've been meaning to ask about him for some time now, but I was too nervous to ask... but I'm going to now!

Why does his voice sound so different? Is it just me? It's so strange, it's almost like he's a different person...

Truth be told, I don't really know much about Igor-san, but it strikes me as kind of odd...

Not that it's necessarily a bad thing of course! It just stood out to me. Perhaps the Igor-san in my world is different somehow?

Sumire-- or rather Briar finds herself alone in the dark entryway of Tartarus. The Dark Hour's green moonlight shines down upon the ground outside as she steps inside, looking around quietly as she takes in the place's eerie atmosphere.

"..."

This isn't the first time she's been here, she's been here with the Tartarus exploration group, not wanting to leave Phoenix and the others to struggle alone. Tonight though, she finds herself here alone, stepping up to the teleportation device as her cape billows behind her.

"...Let's see... Which floor this time...?"

She muses to herself aloud, trying to gauge herself. She's not the strongest here, and some of the later floors are much too strong for her, but she still wants to have a challenge.

Perhaps the Tziah block? Hmm...

She stands there for a moment, in front of the teleportation device, simply debating to herself.

She needs to work harder, and try to be true to herself as a leader instead of just trying to mirror Kasumi... After all, that's what she's done this whole time, but she needs to be strong on her own. That's what Ren has been trying to teach her, and what her friends have been trying to get her to understand. She knows that, deep down, but it's so hard not feeling as though Kasumi would be a better leader, that Kasumi deserved that chance more than her...

She stares at the device, slowly getting distracted...

All of the places here are like places the people here have been to, right? Do you have any fun memories to share about some of them? It can be anything, like visiting one of the stores around the town or fighting Shadows.

There's a church I visit sometimes where a friend of mine and I have been sharing our interests with one another. She's been teaching me about shogi, and I've been showing her gymnastics.

What about you?

Yaeko... has no idea what to make of this. She's half certain Akira mentioned something about a Velvet Room once, but it didn't make any sense - to her or any of the others - so she'd dismissed it. Too readily, it appears.

She lingers at the conspiracy board for a while, since it's a useful source of information from the looks of things (thirteen variations of Akechi? Why on Earth did anyone think they needed that many in one place?), before proceeding onward. Her first stop is Tokyo proper; for all she has no idea where she's going to stay now, it's somewhere familiar.

People-watching isn't nearly as fulfilling as usual when the people have no substance to them, but she can still find plenty to draw.

Once she's found her bearings, she heads for Iwatodai. Yes, it's nearly midnight according to her phone; that's the point. She's not fool enough to go into Tartarus alone, but she still wants to see it. These other cognitive anomalies are fascinating concepts.

She had thought the butterfly that she'd spotted on Elysion Boulevard merely belonged to Elizabeth. Or perhaps it had been one of those extra-dimensional ones, but they didn't tend to be blue. It lead her to a blue door, and now a blue room. A man with a long nose that she'd never seen before sits there. In fact, she doesn't recognize this scenery more than she recognizes the decrepit streets that Maruki keeps insisting was her home.

Kasumi notices there's a bulletin board. It doesn't seem as though there's anyone here to speak to, besides maybe asking her guide Morgana. "Morgana, do you recognize any of this?"

The lantern on her belt was silent. She wants to think it's because he doesn't but Morgana loves to joke at dire times. It's possible his consciousness didn't follow her here. Her hand drifts to her rapier in case there's something here that means her harm. The other puppets she's stumbled into have been rather hostile after all.

Okay. Well. Ken had to admit that, when he went to bed last night, he did not expect to wake up in a blue room and be welcomed by a long-nosed man. He would have thought that it was a dream, but he's been in enough of them to know it's nothing of the sort. This place had a dinstinct, strong feeling, not quite reality, but much firmer than a dream.

He wasn't certain he could trust Igor-san yet, if he was perfectly honest. But in the case that he was not lying... it was actually great news. The real world was rough, currently, with Yuki-san being...

...

Well, a pause to make new friends couldn't hurt. Especially since he was learning again, learning to be alive, learning to live for himself, like Aragaki-san had asked him to. He couldn't let him down, not in a million years.

Malicious or not, Igor-san was right. He needed bonds. And he would make them.

Someone may meet this Ken...

1) while reading the information board. Even if being here seemed to overall be a good thing, that did not mean throwing caution out of the window. He needed information, and the kind soul having put together this compilation would save him a lot of time.

2) in Iwatodai, Ken being curious to see if the dorm SEES stayed at was still a thing in this strange place.

I've noticed that this Velvet Room is rather different from the one I know at home. The one I visit is very similar to a hospital's emergency room, but I've heard it takes many different forms.

I'm a little curious, what Velvet Room have you encountered, besides this one?

If you're willing to share, of course. You don't need to.

THANK YOU AND GOODNIGHT
It's been a blast, been a slice, been a Hell of a ride
The morning of March 26th dawned as many spring days in Tokyo did, sunny and cold.

What did not rise with the sun, were the figures that had, just the night before, occupied Sojiro Sakura's house.

Phoenix and Renée were both missing. Their numbers, for those who had their contact info, were still reachable- though only by text, now.

But unfortunately, the simple fact was that they had disappeared, gone home- and there was no telling when they'd return.

BUT IT'S NOT GOODBYE FOREVER
Cause we're all down here together
March 27th, on the other hand, was considerably milder, and for reasons neither could fully place-

They had both awoken, nearly simultaneously, within the familiar confines of the Velvet Room. Not, as it turned out, the gently-rocking deck of a ship at sea under full sail- but one they hadn't seen for months.

A circular room, with a familiar board, and five doorways leading off.

"March... 27th. It's only been a day, here. Convenient, but also I'm getting really sick of this dream realm bullshit making time all fucky."

A HAPPY DAY IN HELL
A realm so appealing, it beats anywhere
Phoenix hadn't returned empty-handed. Something in the intervening months had passed between the pair of them- and now they were more frequently seen together. Not always- but frequently enough, whether it was taking advantage of Leblanc's quiet atmosphere to pore over one of the tomes they'd managed to bring back with them, or perhaps trawling Mementos or one of the Palaces together, even taking time to explore Tartarus or the TV world.

Apart, however, they could often be found either around the Sakura residence, with Phoenix's morning run usually taking him through Inaba, or his Attendant loitering around the myriad bookshops and libraries of the realm, consuming as much literature as she possibly could.

Sumire can't help but find herself intrigued by the other doors in the Velvet Room, and this time finds herself stepping through into Inaba. It seems like a nice little town, so different from a large city like Tokyo.

The air just feels more fresh and easier to breathe in, it's actually quite nice.

She walks through the neighborhood with a small smile on her face, just taking in the quaint scenery and the nice atmosphere. She almost wouldn't believe that there were some murders that took place here...

"..."

She knows it must be safe since this isn't the true Inaba, but rather a cognitive (?) version. The people walking by her aren't real, the shopkeepers of the various stores aren't real...

...It's all so surreal, honestly...

Option 1: For now she just walks nearby the textile shop, eying it with a curious look. She has been meaning to try to choose some cute accessories for herself... Maybe she can figure out what she likes here.

Option 2: Sumire pauses, a bit confused as she stops by the gas station. Wait, she just passed this gas station a bit ago... Oh no, is she lost?

Option 3: And then she finds herself at Junes, looking around the store with some quiet consideration. She may need to grab groceries, and the produce here is probably different than back home... Maybe she'll find something good here? Oh, and perhaps she can check the rest of the store, too...

Well...this isn't the Fujikawaguchiko library.

Amamiya Ren, eleven and still a member of his local primary school, adjusts his backpack straps.

This isn't the Fujikawaguchiko library at all.

Uhm. Phone. Right. Oh man, my parents are gonna be so mad... He takes out his flip phone and-- no parents. No contacts at all, actually...where are his messages?

> Help the lost boy?

Tactica Spoilers

This was fine. Yeah, just a magic room, with a guy who's nose was horridly long. There's random doors. This couldn't be as different as the other place right? He sighed. This wasn't the first time he was thrown into somewhere else. The last thing he remembered was they were infiltrating the castle that Marie had. They were doing something, but he couldn't think too much or his head hurt.

While Igor-san talked in cryptic ways, he was good to ask questions to. He explained the doors and the bulletin board. He was also assured this was a safe place. However, after Marie's time, he wasn't so sure about that.

1) He marched up to the bulletin board. Information gather first. That was always important. This looked like it was put together by a child, he really hoped there wasn't more children here. The information was decent enough. But who's idea was it to have this many versions of the detective prince? What did he have to do with all of this? This hadn't really given him more information as much as more questions. His head was going to hurt from all this thinking he was doing. He held his head in his hand. This was horrible.

2) His next step was back home, or well... this version of it. The... people were all wrong and honestly really creepy. He sighed as he stopped in a store for some food. He really should have eaten before he went on that mission. Now, he was just hungry and he needed to organize his thoughts. It was just, he hated the fact that it was like he was talking to scripted lines. Damnit. "How did I even end up here?"

When Sumire opens her eyes, she finds herself in the Velvet Room... A much different Velvet Room then the one she's accustomed to.

"...Huh?"

She looks around a bit before hearing Igor's introduction, her eyes widening as she takes it in. Wait, wait, wait, WHAT? Hang on, he wants her to make bonds?! Isn't she already trying to do that? That whole 'rehabilitation' thing? Not that it was that well explained, but wasn't that part of it...?

"A-All right. I'll try to..."

She's not really that confident, considering how she's still only just getting started as a Phantom Thief at home. She's made some friends and allies, but it's not like she's strong or a good friend like Kasumi was... She's just barely keeping it together in comparison. So really, all she can do is just try at best.

Sumire takes the chance to step a bit further into the Velvet Room, and try to decide exactly what to do now.

She takes a deep breath, trying to steel herself. She's been in dangerous situations before, she can handle being in some odd situation like this. She just needs to keep herself focused. Like Kasumi would. Kasumi would be brave. Just act like Kasumi... Act like the leader of the Phantom Thieves would.

Her eyes gain a bit more steel as she continues walking into the Velvet Room.

Option 1: Sumire walks up towards Igor, trying to inquire a bit about the current state of the Velvet Room. Is this what it looks like without one current guest? Or perhaps it's a unique state for multiple guests...? Also what about his voice? It sounds different... Where are Caroline and Justine? What about-- wait, no, that would be rude...! Instead she just stares awkwardly at Igor, trying to get the words out for the questions she wants to ask.

Option 2: Sumire finds herself stepping into the Tokyo door, on the way to Odaiba. It's just a place she finds herself going to clear her head sometimes. It's so eerie how realistic this version of Tokyo is... She walks along, looking around with a surprised and curious look.

Option 3: Sumire stands in front of one of the subways in Tokyo, staring at her phone. She seems to be debating on entering Mementos, but it's hard to say if she's certain enough to do so...
