The same as he's done almost every day since he got- well, destroyed, Falcon finds himself training. There's an obsessive fury in his eyes, unmissable, clamped down and withdrawn as the rest of his body language is. He looks ready to strike at the slightest notice.

1: Mementos
One may notice him heading down the train station in Shibuya, before disappearing with the telling ripple of someone entering the Metaverse. He storms down the floors, not even bothering with the weaker Shadows. What good will taking out the small fry do if he needs to be stronger than he is? No, not even the dephts of Mementos will do- the heights of the new part of Mementos, the part he'd explored once with Magpie, that's where he's headed.

2: Moments in Between
Honestly, Falcon's been pretty scarce in general. He's only replying to network posts directly adressing him, not bothering to reach out to anyone himself, and even when he does reply to texts or network posts, it's short and to the point. Even when stopped, he only tends to talk long enough to say that he's busy, and move on. Right now, however, having exhausted most of his battery, he's stuck in his charging station... and clearly unhappy about it. He's not expecting anyone to drop by, though, so his eyes are closed in a faux-sleep.

3: Static
By midnight, he's gone again, out to train in the shiny new training room. Robin and Loki shift inside him, as if withdrawing slowly- but Falcon doesn't care. They've been doing this for a while now, no longer speaking to him, and cringing away, but as long as they obey when he calls them (and they still do, eagerly so), then it doesn't matter. He scoffs as he opens the hidden door, making sure there's no unsavory presence to follow him, before stepping inside. Here... there are the proper elements to train for doomada, and by god, is he gonna make sure he's prepared.

(Unbeknowst to him, rain has started falling in Inaba. Back home, his TV flickers with static, oh-so briefly, showing an unrecognizable silhouette.)

[CW: death, robotic gore]

Despair, the last thing he feels before death claims him. Falcon thought he could do it- seal away the evil he'd seen in this tape, it's what he was made for, after all.

But in the end, he was too weak. He was overwhelmed- destroyed in one single attack.

All that is left is some pieces of burnt scrap metal near the top level of Mementos, unrecognizable for what they once were.

------

Not long after the chaos of the memory tapes, a glow appears in the Velvet Room. At first, it doesn't look like much- it's hard to even tell what it is. Slowly but surely, however, wires, circuits, and other mechanical parts become discernible, though it still takes a long time before anything truly recognizable becomes apparent. Falcon's naked circuitry renders him barely identifiable, almost Terminator-like, a rather gruesome image without his mesh to hide all the machinery underneath.

At his desk, Igor's grinning, as always, although next to him is a frowning Margaret. She looks concerned as she watches the slowly regenerating body, her arms crossed, her spine straight.

"... This cannot continue," she says, "we still don't know how he got in. We gave him a chance, but..."

Igor hums, closing his buldging eyes.

"It seems we will need to take other measures." His eyes open again. "Margaret, if you please."

"Of course," she says, and turns around to leave.

Igor stays in his seat, watching as Falcon slowly regenerates from nothing.

Today has certainly been... a day.

Falcon groans as he tosses his pan, finally giving up on cleaning it- he doesn't even eat, so it's whatever. Both his face and mesh are covered in blackened soot, and his kitchen looks... well, passable now, considering how much he already cleaned up, but he'll have to clean himself later, too.

Listen, when Futaba told him she wanted to cook, that was fine. He could supervise, and she could make something she liked, and it would be great. He doesn't mind watching her while Phoenix is gone, really. She's a good kid, for the most part. How was he supposed to know she'd blow up his kitchen? Here he though making food was just a matter of following the right steps, but whatever is left of the supposed pancakes (groan) are nothing more than sad piles of black dust.

Actually- hadn't he asked her to throw those out? Where the hell is she?

"Futaba-chan?" he calls out, but gets no answer. He doesn't find her in any of the rooms, and sure, she likes wandering around by herself, but he asked her to please tell him when she goes out-

There's a thump from above. He perks up, and listens closer.

Another thump.

Wait a fucking minute-

He rushes outside, and indeed-

"Futaba-chan! What are you doing on the roof?!" he yells, exasperation in his voice. "Get down from there!"

He wonders why he even bothers coming here.

The singer is as fake as ever, and so is her voice. She's nothing like the one at home, with her rich, sultry voice, capturing all the notes exactly right for a live performance. There's a certain grit to a live performance that he likes, the perfect imperfections of it all, that this cognitive fake so obviously lacks. It pisses him off, causes the black tar pit in his circuit boards to expand, swallowing him whole. At this rate, he might as well put on a CD at home.

Even so, here he is once more, watching the fake perform under the dimmed lights of Jazz Jin.

Despite her fakeness, the lack of Muhen-san, and just... everything in general, he can't help but enjoy the atmosphere. It rankles, knowing that he is so easily pleased by something so fake. So easily lulled into a false sense of authenticity. It misses some very obvious things, but-

-oh, whatever. He's done plenty of feeling like shit in the past days. Who cares if he lets himself have this? It's not real, but it's the best he's got in this prison.

He watches as the fake gets ready to perform a set, leaning back in his chair at his regular table.

If someone were to walk in, they might catch the brooding stare in his eyes.

[Locked to Ken and Falcon. May be opened to intervention of others depending on how it goes.]

Immediately after receiving Raven's message, Ken left his home to search for Falcon. This madness needed to stop. Clearly hoping others would sort things out was a mistake.

He does not know where Falcon is, but he does remember from their last fight that a small part of him felt like Nyx's power. He can latch on that to track him. He'll look everywhere, spending the whole night if he has to, starting with Inaba.

The more he searches, the more his emotions melt into this weird state he gets into when he is truly upset. This is getting dangerous...

On the morning of August 9th, everyone will receive an invitation to a special get-together on the Nav.

It reads, "In honor of a year of bonds and irreplaceable memories, you are humbly invited to celebrate amongst your community. Dress as you like, and take pride in your personal progress. We even have awards to celebrate the tremendous growth of our residents."

Those who pass through the Velvet Room today will find themselves in a wide, grand ballroom not unlike the Halloween Party. There's a grand buffet of all manner of foods, both simple and lavish, as well as a multi-tiered cake with a plastic number 1 on top, such as you see on birthday cakes.

A wall can be found with a list of awards for characters and corresponding medals and trophies for them to take, should they so choose, such as Most Improved, Kindest, or whatever suits them the most—or perhaps they've received no award at all.

Bright and obnoxious banners and decorations hang overhead that say, 'HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!'

There's a dance floor, chairs for sitting and enjoying the atmosphere, and no shortage of activities, from a ballpit full of Gorbs, Rorbs, and Hee-horbs to a number of quirky arcade games and miscellaneous activities. Pin the nose on the Igor? Whack-a-Shido? Feel free to make up your own shenanigans.

Who knows? Perhaps you'll even meet a few unexpected guests.

[OOC: Happy anniversary, everyone! To celebrate, have a cute party mingle. We'll also have a thread where guest characters can show up. This is a great way to invite friends who may wanna see if they click with the community or to throw in characters just for fun, if you so choose.]

[[OOC: this thread is closed to [personal profile] gorobo.]]

Magpie is having a very normal day. To wit, he's standing in the lee of the train carriage in Station Square, staring down at his phone. His face is pinched and white; he looks, for some reason, both far too young and excessively old.

Hopefully nobody will happen past in the next thirty to sixty seconds.

Even if the drinks aren't anything he cares about, the atmosphere of the Jazz Jin alone is calming, as always. One of the few things he was allowed to decide for himself, even under Shido's whims.

Everything has been both so restless and languid at the same time, lately. Both the Palace and moving into the house in Inaba has been hectic, and the infiltration of said aforementioned Palace looms closer every day. Falcon still doesn't know what to think of it, or how much he can trust everyone involved.

He feels as if he's been running himself ragged and not doing shit at the same time. It's polarizing and frustrating. He doesn't know why he's here at all, really. Igor's excuses sound more hollow by the day. Occupying himself by helping out with Drake's Palace feels useful, certainly, but then what?

Then what, indeed.

The cognitive version of the singer starts crooning out her signature song, her voice sweet and alluring, and Falcon  allows himself to get lost in it, willing himself to forget about it all, just for a moment. If anyone were to enter right now, they'd find him leaning on his elbows at the table closest to the singer, eyes half-shuttered, pensive look on his face.

Since a certain someone insisted I make this post sooner rather than later, despite the current situation we have on our hands, I suppose I may as well.

I am looking for volunteers who are willing to help me move my charging station to my new living space. Much as I'd like to do it myself, I am but one machine, and I was not made to move room-sized charging stations by myself. As I'd like to get this over with as soon as possible, I am requesting the help of those who are willing to provide. Ideally, I am looking for at least one person with experience in engineering, as the station will have to be both disassembled and reassembled properly, if such a person is present in the Velvet Room. As for anyone else, simply carrying parts of the station to the new location would be great.

We are moving the building station

FROM: Kichijoji

TO: Inaba

Full addresses will be sent out to those participating.

Thank you for your time.

Fuck, this was a bad idea.

Out of SP, and with his HP low, Falcon finds himself hiding out in the saferoom near the pooldeck of Shido's Palace. His circuits thrum with fury still, and he's itching to kill another Shadow (especially one Shadow in particular), but-

Shido. Fucking Shido. Why isn't his Shadow anywhere to be found on this goddamn ship? He's torn the entire place apart, and security is through the roof, but nothing. Nothing. Just an endless wave of Shadows who feel so good to tear through, honestly, but it's not what he's looking for.

Futaba's new files sit blatantly in his memory, and without the energy to keep tearing through Shadows to distract him, it keeps pushing itself to the forefront of his awareness. It still hasn't done anything, but he doesn't fucking trust it. Not in the slightest.

He's... not happy with himself about contacting Phoenix, but Robin wouldn't stop nagging him. His Persona is right in that he needs help, and, okay, now that he's having time to think about it, he understands what they were going for.

He's still angry. He doesn't really want to see him.

But he's hurt and he didn't bring anything with him, which in itself was stupid as fuck, but sue him for not being in the best mindset when he got here. As he's come to find, the enemies in this Palace are small fry anyway, but even small fry can cause an impact if there's enough of them, and given enough time.

And he's given them enough time in his dogged quest to find Shido's Shadow and tear it apart.

His thoughts are interupted when the door to the saferoom makes a noise, and he raises his arm automatically, combat parameters in place.

"Who's there?" he shouts, keeping his voice steady, "Phoenix?"

[OOC: Locked to the users tagged in the post!]

Raven's message had been... curious, to say the least.

Falcon's still not sure what to make of it; he clearly hurt Raven quite a lot, and nearly killed him- a child- over bad-mouthing Shido. Not that he could help it, but still...

Perhaps he wants to pledge his eternal loyalty to Shido-san this time! We did show what a great man Shido-san was, after all!

... Right. Not likely.

Really now, he'd rather get this over with as quickle as possible. He doesn't even know why this couldn't have been done over text, but he's already agreed to meet up in Shibuya. Not that he could really refuse; no schedule means no excuse means no reason to politely decline. Any info he gains could be useful for Shido-san!

The trains here are strange, and before he knows it, he's arrived in Shibuya station, stepping out alongside a sea of cognitions, carefully avoiding bumping into one; a habit he's gotten quite good at, since he is a little... more sturdy than the average human. He allows himself to follow them as they go out to the streets, before he finds a quieter corner to himself. His scanners don't pick up sight of Raven quite yet- maybe the boy has yet to arrive.

With his ever-polite smile painted on his face, he leans against the outer wall of the station entrance. Raven probably won't be long- or maybe he set up Falcon, and is making him wait for nothing. Not undeserved, really- but that's a rather mean-spirited reading of the situation. He knows himself, he's not the type to do that, even if Raven is... a child. He doesn't think he'd do that, didn't seem the type either.

For now, all he can do is wait, so he does. He has nothing to lose from doing so, after all.

A picture of sushi pieces shaped into adorable little creatures.

Hello everyone! Are you all doing well?

Today I went out to Odaiba, and found myself peckish when I came across XXXXXXXX, a small harbor sushi restraurant. I was intrigued by their curiously shaped sushi... but does it taste as good as it looks...?

As hard as it was to eat these adorable pieces of sushi, they were delicious! I greatly recommend it to anyone who enjoys food that tastes as good as it looks~

The service was very nice and quick, too. I cannot help but applaud the waiting staff!

Thus far, my food adventures for the day... I hope you all enjoy yours, too~

'Well, that didn't make any sense. Thanks for nothing, weird old man,' is what he thinks.

"Ah, I see," is what he says, smiling at the long-nosed, bug-eyed old man sitting in the middle of the strange blue room he's found himself in, "thank you very much for your warm welcome. I appreciate your introduction."

Despite his near perfect disguise as a human, Goro's ultimately mechanical body bows politely, as if he'd gained any valuable information from this, instead of being spoken at nonsensically. What the hell is this place? The Velvet Room? Forming bonds? Concern about the place from which he came? As far as he's concerned, this is all looking like it's going to be a huge headache.

Still, his scanners indicate that this is... not quite like the Metaverse, but something like it? The strangeness of it all certainly makes more sense when he looks at it that way. It's a place outside of his normal reality, that's for certain, though when he tries to recall the memories of how exactly he ended up here, all he gets back is some glitchy static that makes his limbs twitch. Fun! Lovely! Shido-san is going to want to know about this!

He blinks away the intrusive thought, the only indication of his upset as he looks around. Internally, he sighs, already resigning himself to figuring out how this place can be useful to Shido-san. He has better things to do, technically, but apparently, it's not like he's gone in his own world, so it's not like it'll really make a difference, either. Who knows? Maybe exploring this place will prove useful, in the long run. He's not sure what kind of 'bonds' he's expected to make, if any at all, though maybe finding someone and speaking to them may prove fruitful.

... Sure. That sounds logical enough. He's not exactly eager to hand yet another boon over to Shido, but it's not like he can refuse either. He's already here, after all. Not to mention, he is curious...

Hmm... usually, he's forbidden from leaving Tokyo. These doors lead to places outside of Tokyo, but since this is Metaverse related, perhaps he can try to...?

When he does not receive an internal error (though he's not sure if he's exactly happy about that), he opens one of the doors...
  1.  ... and ends up in a city, which his internal GPS immediately pings as Iwatodai. From his databases, he knows the Kirijo Group has many connections here, which immediately sets him on edge. His body, however, does not react to his internal distress, nor the vague impulse to return to the Velvet Room already, and sets out to explore.
  2.  ... and finds himself in the middle of a shopping district... filled with closed shops. He gets pinged with "Yasoinaba" for a location. It's surprisingly quiet, but he finds that he doesn't mind all too much. Eager to find out what's so special about this town in particular for it to show up here, he starts walking around.
  3.  ... and ultimately decides that he should familiarize himself with the Tokyo of this strange place. At first glance, it seems to be mostly normal, but the 'supernatural' feeling from before lingers. Legs moving near-automatically, he finds himself strolling towards LeBlanc.
