[EVENT] 'Tis the Spooky Season...

Autumn is drawing on in the Velvet Room and its environs. The days are colder, the nights are crisper, leaves are a riot of colour ready to fall from the trees. And (besides all the pumpkin spice popping up for some reason) that means only one thing: Hallowe'en!

As the season approaches, you may undergo a mysterious transformation. Perhaps you wake up with wings, or hooves, or gills! Or perhaps your transformation will change more, go deeper... perhaps to your very soul. Who can tell? You might wake up as an animal, or a mythological creature. Or as anything at all.

Transformations will reverse on the morning of November 1st. Probably.

In the meantime, Destinyland is celebrating the holiday. Cheerful Jack-o'-Lantern Shadows have set up on street corners, handing out flyers advertising the park's seasonal festivities. In the days leading up to the 31st, Destinyland will host all the usual fun: Hallowe'en games, Trick or Treat for the babies (and the not-so-babey), the Gorb fortune teller, Shadow-run food stalls serving spooky meals and treats, and, of course, the haunted house with its array of friendly, candy-giving Shadows. Or maybe they're not so friendly.

On the night of Hallowe'en itself, there will be a parade at the park and a grand party out in the main square with food, music, and plenty of space, though characters are not obliged to attend. However, if you wish to show off your new form, see what transformations have been wrought on your fellow guests, or simply take the chance to celebrate, it may be a good opportunity...

Who knows? Perhaps you'll even see some special guests.

Ren huffs and nudges him towards his den. Sleep, no? He's trying to problem solve (using all of his two wolf braincells, but still).

"I just came down for some water, and you made quite a bit of noise." Not that the fish isn't good, but water. Hydration.

Oh! Water! Ren's face perks. He noses the little pup in the stomach, lightly knocking him over, before turning to go get...he muzzles through the doors and other things in his way...here!

Quick as a flash, Ren's back, gently depositing a mouthful of 500ml water bottles onto pup.

Um.

"That might be a bit much for me to carry in addition to the fish." He could put the fish in his mouth, maybe, but he is not a big wolf creature.

He is a young teenager currently coated in fur.

If he doesn't need the snack...

Carefully, Ren chomps the fish filet and gulps down the lion's share, then leaves the other, smaller bit for the pup. Yummy! And then, of course, he nudges the water towards pup, too.

"...I was going to eat it still." But fine. He'll accept the smaller bit. He'll even take it in his mouth. His fish. Huff.

Good, good, pup is settled...one more lick to pup and then he sniffs around pup. His instincts tell him the scruff would be best here, so chomp! But delicate chomp. Dainty chomp. Small chomp for small pup. Not a chomp at all, really. Just enough to pick him up by the scruff. Pup dentime.

Raven pouts, grumbling with the fish still in his mouth. This is so demeaning. He can't even cross his arms because he's holding water bottles.

Sometimes things must happen, pup, even if we don't like it. Ren trots on up to the den he thinks pup should be sleeping in, nudges the door open, and puts him on the bed.

...Right next to his younger self.

"...Ah. Hello." This is awkward. Very, very awkward. "Sorry for the disturbance..."

Small-Ren just hums in his sleep and wraps his wings around his new snuggle buddy for the night. Big Ren huffs, satisfied, and gives them both goodnight licks before sauntering out.
