It's Valentine's Day, and that means just one thing for the inhabitants of the Velvet Room: chaos.

And chocolate, possibly. Or even something else? Or perhaps you're spending the holiday entirely by yourself?

"Yeah?" Ken knew what that was right? Jay looked him over. "Do you not know what that is?" he asked tilting his head just slightly, smiling like a cat who had just caught a mouse.

Ken was just staying there, jaw slightly ajar, not moving.

Ken Amada has ceased functioning.

"Valentine's day is a holiday. People exchange gifts for each other and show how much they care about each other." at least that's what he read on fanfics and what his mother told him. Now was the perfect opportunity to show Ken how much he cared about him.

"I- I know what Valentine's Day is!" he eventually sputtered. "It's just... it's just..."

He took a deep breath to steady himself, then resumed in a quiet voice.

"It's just that with everything going on, I completely forgot about it."

"I guess there is a lot going on, I hadn't considered forgetting about it." He smiled.

"I'm still here though, you still have something to come home to," he thought that sounded cool enough.

...he did. He did have something to come home to.

"Y-yeah," he simply answered, tears in his eyes.

Oh shit did he say something wrong? Ken looked like he was going to cry. "Hey, it's okay." He said reaching out to pull the other into a hug.

He didn't expect that at all. After a moment of shock, he chuckles a little.

"You keep surprising me today... Do I really matter to you that much?"

"Well, of course. Why wouldn't you?" he said a little red at his confession.

[vessel_ken_amada]

"It's just... there's enjoying someone's company... and there's..."

He gestured at the breakfast.

"This."

[fledglingcrow]

"Well, uh, I like the time we spend, and it's valentines and I thought I could... do something nice." He looked over the food. He was a bit embarrassed and there was a bit of red on his cheeks.
