Cherry Blossom Evening Party

Throughout the week, Hamuko has messaged the vast majority of people she's met so far - and eagerly invited them to come meet at Inokashira Park starting at 5pm.

You're invited to an evening sushi-party-turned-hanami-picnic-party! I've organized a bunch of cognitive chefs and performers to come to that park on the listed date/time.

I've sent this to you because you were part of one of the three teams that helped with fighting Fatalis or rescuing Falcon and Wolf (or are Falcon and Wolf themselves!!) - we've all busted our butts a lot lately, so I think we deserve to have something nice together too!

Of course, the party is open if you have any +1s or more. But before spring turns into summer, let's celebrate what we've all accomplished together!

The Venue...


Inokashira Park has a lovely river and trail and a phenomenal collection of cherry blossom trees. They're in the tail end of their season, filling the air with petals like snowfall.

In a large open area, Hamuko's arranged a ton of picnic blankets for people to claim and sit down on, though each blanket is HUGE to accommodate people sitting with as many people as they can handle! There are cozy pillows for sitting on too, stacked neatly to be borrowed.

There's a truly humongous row of tables laid out with an impressive amount of sushi presented. With a few trucks nearby, it seems there's a few sushi chefs making fresh platters of it to lay out through the night.

Similarly, there are food carts along the trails if you're not in the mood for sushi and would rather have some more traditional fare like dango, taiyaki, matcha, takoyaki... it's got the place lively and smelling fantastic! There's sake for the adults, and some cherry-blossomed themed mocktails for minors.

Activities

There's a few set out activities besides just chowing down and socializing or walking along the lantern-lit trails under the cherry blossoms! Inoshikara Park has always had cute little swan pedal boats or regular rowboats for 'rental' (not that money matters here).

The area is SO pretty, perfect for taking pictures to have as keepsakes. There's even a booth to claim a yukata and privately change into it, if you want to go the extra mile!

Finally, in lieu of a traditional band or modern concert, Hamuko has picked out a large set of speakers connected to a small karaoke stage and screen - menace the party with your sing-along! Get a little boost to your Guts!!

Shiho's been feeling better than she has been in a long time. Having helped save Falcon, she felt good to have finally done something with her persona for a change. Granted, she'll likely feel that itch again, but at least she can say she saved someone's life.

She's in her own light pink yukata with white sandals, and her hair put up in a french braided bun with white butterfly clips on. Having gotten some takoyaki earlier and now she's sitting on one of the pillows on the picnic blanket having some sushi.

She's free for anyone to talk with or bother her.

Though the larger group that assembled for that mission meant that Hamuko recognized Shiho, they'd ended up saving different people - and now she was on a quest to get to know the people she hadn't met yet.

Eagerly, Hamuko sat herself down on the blanket next to her, a couple of skewers of dango in her hands - one of which she was already eating.

"Hi! I'm glad you made it. I'm Hamuko - I was part of the search and rescue party a while ago."

Shiho doesn't bat an eye at that. She's seen Ann do that with sweets, so seeing another girl with a big stomach isn't that surprising.

"Shiho Suzui. It's nice to meet you." she nods. "I helped with Falcon. That was pretty tough, especially when Falcon got trapped in some pod that I had to have help breaking him out of it, and unplugging him."

She's thankful for both Wolf (the anti-shadow weapon, not the other Akechi) and Rose for helping her with it.

"We had to fight a digimon... it was a giant werewolf made of fire, which was incredible, but definitely harrowing. I only just now got the burnt smell off of me!" she laughed a little, fiddling with some of her hair in its messy bun.

"The ends of my hair had to get a bit of a trim where they got burnt too. That was wild."

"We had to fight two shadows at once. Robin Hood and Loki. They both had dark attacks, so that was frustrating given my persona is weak to that element."

Thank goodness they didn't use the insta-kill spells. Shiho would have been screwed.

"Oooh... hmm... maybe we can find a charm to help reduce damage. If I come across something like that, I'll bring it to you," Hamuko hummed in thought. Maybe she ought to pay another visit to the antiques place...

"That would be pretty useful for the next time I fight a shadow that uses that element."

Shiho should really work on improving her defense. Sure she's gotten pretty strong, but there's only so much you can do with your weakness(es).

"Those trinkets are always the hardest to track down, but I've needed a little training short-term goal anyway! I'll see if I can find one, ehehe."

Maybe trying out a few other places, not just Tartarus, too... hmm! That might be worth an excursion later.

"So I've heard. Back home, Ren was the one that usually handled getting equipment from the shops."

Shiho's been meaning to try out Tartarus, but she knows going there alone would be a very bad idea. At least now she's experienced the TV World.

"Makes sense! I was the one managing that for my team back in Iwatodai, too. It's kind of fun working on getting your teammates all geared up!"

Oh so she's leader. That makes a lot of sense.

"Yeah, and Ren has bonds with the people we get weapons and medicine from, so we can get some good stuff. So we're not just relying on treasure chests for stuff."

She doesn't know how it works, but she won't complain.

"Oooh, he puts in even more legwork!! We were lucky to have help and cooperation from the police... are you one of the Phantom Thieves? I can totally see why you'd have to be a LOT more careful."

While Shiho doesn't have as big of an issue with the police as Ren (yet), she's not fond of them either. There's a reason that Katsuya guy got as big of a backlash as he did.

"That's right. I wasn't around for their first target, but I was involved with Kamoshida, Kaneshiro, and we were about to give Futaba-chan the calling card when I ended up here."

So while not as much experience as a lot of other Phantom Thieves, she's had some experience under her belt.
