Cherry Blossom Evening Party
Throughout the week, Hamuko has messaged the vast majority of people she's met so far - and eagerly invited them to come meet at Inokashira Park starting at 5pm.
⋆🌸₊˚⊹♡❀˖°🌸⋆
You're invited to an evening sushi-party-turned-hanami-picnic-party! I've organized a bunch of cognitive chefs and performers to come to that park on the listed date/time.
I've sent this to you because you were part of one of the three teams that helped with fighting Fatalis or rescuing Falcon and Wolf (or are Falcon and Wolf themselves!!) - we've all busted our butts a lot lately, so I think we deserve to have something nice together too!
Of course, the party is open if you have any +1s or more. But before spring turns into summer, let's celebrate what we've all accomplished together!

.🌸˚𑁍.ೃ࿔*:・
The Venue...
Inokashira Park has a lovely river and trail and a phenomenal collection of cherry blossom trees. They're in the tail end of their season, filling the air with petals like snowfall.
In a large open area, Hamuko's arranged a ton of picnic blankets for people to claim and sit down on, though each blanket is HUGE to accommodate people sitting with as many people as they can handle! There are cozy pillows for sitting on too, stacked neatly to be borrowed.
There's a truly humongous row of tables laid out with an impressive amount of sushi presented. With a few trucks nearby, it seems there's a few sushi chefs making fresh platters of it to lay out through the night.
Similarly, there are food carts along the trails if you're not in the mood for sushi and would rather have some more traditional fare like dango, taiyaki, matcha, takoyaki... it's got the place lively and smelling fantastic! There's sake for the adults, and some cherry-blossomed themed mocktails for minors.
🌸𓏲 ๋࣭ ࣪ ˖🎐
Activities
There's a few set out activities besides just chowing down and socializing or walking along the lantern-lit trails under the cherry blossoms! Inoshikara Park has always had cute little swan pedal boats or regular rowboats for 'rental' (not that money matters here).
The area is SO pretty, perfect for taking pictures to have as keepsakes. There's even a booth to claim a yukata and privately change into it, if you want to go the extra mile!
Finally, in lieu of a traditional band or modern concert, Hamuko has picked out a large set of speakers connected to a small karaoke stage and screen - menace the party with your sing-along! Get a little boost to your Guts!!
Ichinose!
She's eager to put on a yukata, though she's already plucked out the kanzashi in her hair and stuck it in her obi instead (it was bothering her) and she's having a grand time wiggling the long sleeves.
At least, until she gets her hand on some sake - then she focuses on not spilling all over herself.
"Mmm!! Warm sake on a chilly night... perfect."
She's never further than arm's reach from Maruki, of course. Especially not when a certain someone shows up later...
no subject
If he could he would've.
So all he's left with is that his attention is completely directed away from Ichinose. He stands there, grasping the little sake glass in his now bare hands and watches her.
"I am not doing anything."
He grits his teeth, his glare evident despite the opaqueness of his visor as he watches Akane and Hamuko sing their hearts out (Akane is struggling...he wishes he could help there) and he feels a little shitty that his first instinct is to watch a potential AI researcher here who ruined his world like a dog even on a day of celebration like this.
He silently sips on the sake, gaze burning at her.

Hamuko~
At least, most of the time.
She is also very, very likely to be at the karaoke stage and, with a mischievous glint in her eye, beckons for a second singer...
*Shoves Dove into karaoke*
He pauses, turning his head to look towards Hamuko as she scouts for a karaoke partner.
"Hmm? I wonder what she could be searching for..."

And Hamuko, ever the warm host, was always overwhelmingly friendly with everyone's little quirks.
He is still looking at the picnic blanket where Maruki and Ichinose are happily sitting together, all peace leaving his body as he focused on the sake in his choko.
>>>She gave it a name. That makes her responsible.
Bare hands clasped the poor ceramic vessel as if it was going to pop into a dozen pieces.

Well—perhaps he had, once. In mourning. In sorrow. At the graveyard of a future he had once so carefully sorted, and in the wake of reviving a dream he'd long buried. But not like this. Not while sharing drinks with a man who had no particular desire to be his friend—or maybe one who had simply lowered his guard enough to humor him with a drinking competition.
And for a while, he'd been confident. Confident that he might actually make it through to the end as the victor.
Maybe he shouldn't have underestimated Wolf's tolerance after all.
It was a miracle he could even hold the two skewers of takoyaki in his hand, given how badly he was shivering now. The warmth of the sake was slowly draining from his body, even as it somehow still managed to burn him up from the inside. Too much. Went overboard again.
The cognitive chefs must have taken mercy on him, at least—he could still taste the incredible crust, the subtle sweetness of the sauce, and the texture of the octopus meat. It was the closest impression of the real thing he’d had in some time.
He idly chewed on a single skewer while sitting near the karaoke stage, trying to feel his own mouth again after what felt like nearly drowning it in alcohol. A small box sat beside him, a few more skewers poking lazily out of the opened packaging.
Hm... maybe she’s already left.

PT!Shiho
She's in her own light pink yukata with white sandals, and her hair put up in a french braided bun with white butterfly clips on. Having gotten some takoyaki earlier and now she's sitting on one of the pillows on the picnic blanket having some sushi.
She's free for anyone to talk with or bother her.
no subject
Eagerly, Hamuko sat herself down on the blanket next to her, a couple of skewers of dango in her hands - one of which she was already eating.
"Hi! I'm glad you made it. I'm Hamuko - I was part of the search and rescue party a while ago."

Kaitou aka Vampire!Ren
Normally guys aren't expected to wear a yukata, but he decided to put on a black yukata for guys anyway. Mainly so he had an excuse to use a red parasol to shield himself from the sun (and so that he doesn't have to put on sunscreen for a change).
He's having some sushi since eating fish is not a problem for him.
no subject
"You made it! You look totally at home in a yukata, Kaitou," Hamuko giggled. "The sun'll be down in just a little while and it's gonna be so pretty with the lanterns out! I never got to go view the blossoms at night, so I'm excited for it."

Ren's been feeling a little weird lately, but maybe that's all the more reason he should come to the party. Maybe it'll help. If nothing else, it's a good opportunity to pass out the coins he wrangled from Igor.
Because he feels like it, he shows up in a women's yukata, black with a cherry blossom pattern and a white obi, all under a grey haori. He's not in a wig, and he hasn't gone all out with makeup, but he has applied some eyeliner and a bit of lip gloss. In one hand, he holds a blue velvet bag.
1: coin distribution (closed to those who participated in the Fatalis fight)
If you were involved in the operation against Fatalis in any capacity, be it fighting, providing items, being in the reserves as a backup option, or anything else, Ren is looking for you.* His last duty as team leader, before he can shed the role for good, is to make sure everyone gets what they're owed from Igor.
*Unless your name is Takuto Maruki. If it is, he intends to deliver your reward via a third party. But anything can happen at a large gathering like this.
2: he's fine actually. don't worry about it (open)
When he's not hunting down team members, he tucks the bag into his obi (the same place he's stashed all his weapons, of course, which is why he needs the haori) and grabs some sustenance. You might find him staring pensively up at the cherry blossoms while he eats some sushi or sakuramochi. Or maybe while he drinks a little sake, because who the hell is going to enforce laws about alcohol consumption?

Either way, Hamuko had intended to approach first, but stopped and admired... pretty... this Ren, Akira, whichever was so pretty..............

He notices the other Ren and makes a small wave with a free hand. "Oh hey. That's a good choice in yukata."
He doesn't judge for crossdressing and in hindsight, maybe he should have as well. But he wasn't have a girl day (he's genderfluid). Maybe if there's a summer festival, he might do that next time.

Thankfully, before he can find himself too deeply engrossed within them, he spots Drake out of the corner of his eye, which causes him to lift his head and snap back to reality.
"Hmm, Drake-san? Is everything all right?"
With the way Drake seems to be looking for someone (or something, perhaps?), Dove can't help but wonder what's on his mind, and asks as he approaches.

Her eyes scanned over the people, almost hazy, like she was in a dream. None of these faces... they weren't the ones she came to know. How many had joined since she went off welcome commitee. No wonder Ren was stressed, she could fake this, it was just a dream. At least that's what she could tell herself.
She made her way over to the sushi bar, grabbing a few, yet when she sat down she hadn't touched them, almost like they were for decoration. The smile, if you can call it that, stayed on her face, as she looked at everyone, just observing.

But Ichinose's trail of thought petered out as she saw just how much sushi the young girl had collected. Hah! That reminded her a little of how she handled gatherings, too.
"Staking your claim on your favorites?" she asked in amusement, careful not to accidentally tip the matcha she was drinking as she peeked down at the tiny version of the code-talented phantom thief she knew.

"Yeah, I suppose so," Zenkichi says aloud as Akane floats beside him- her projection hovering below an open drone with the mounted projector. He feels...strange in the Yukata, as if wearing skin that didn't belong to him anymore. A large white yukata with a striking black and blue hakama trailing below. Attached to it is a makeshift holster holding one revolver. He looked like a big bear in comparison, despite his visor remaining stuck on his face. His hair was tied in a bun but he kept most of his locks out of it- if only to conceal the scar on his face. It wasn't enough but it was something.
Option 1: catching up
He's currently busy observing one of the soft pink petals on his calloused roughed-up hand- augmented. Half human, half- machine with the other hand holding a choko- the sake's warmth inevident against the way his body kept running...temperatures cancelled as he's left with the weight of everything that has occured.
Would you approach the big white wolf?
Option 2: do not let this man drink again (karaoke)
That damn Maruki...even if he won against him, he definitely feels way out of his element. There's a fervent blush on his cheeks as he grabs the microphone and feels its weight on his hand. He feels great otherwise though, he could sing his heart out!
The only issue is the screen's a bit blurry and he's too drunk to connect his systems to the main console to play the songs he wants to sing to.
He turns to the person next to him, eyes drifting and if it weren't for the obvious blush on his cheeks- one wouldn't even realize that he was drunk. "Hey, I need some help setting my song. Unless you're up first hhh I will just flop at the side and wait then."

Feeling, perhaps, that he was due a bit of celebration, for a change, Phoenix had made an appearance. They'd even had a yukata in his proportions and colors, which had caused him to think 'fuck it, why not'.
It wasn't as though he'd had the opportunity before.
He could be found, of course, hanging around the refreshments and sampling every variety of sushi available and a few choice items from elsewhere- as well as, after some deliberation, a small amount of sake. That was traditional, and some things there were no harm in preserving.
Having found himself a seat, he certainly didn't seem to mind being approached by anyone.
▶ PARTAKING OF THE FESTIVITIES
The song selection was fairly expansive, he had to admit. But with choices came, of course, the paralysis of infinite possibility.
With some annoyance, he noted, he'd even spotted a few titles he was sure had come from home, which was probably because of all the Cognition.
Well.
Fuck it. This was about having fun and making a fool of yourself, wasn't it? He recalled another night, so long ago, when he'd been more or less forced into karaoke, and... well, why not? It was a good song.
He selected a track which he knew, ironically, to have been added by a band who thought they were being clever by naming a song Three Minutes Fifty-One Seconds of Silence. It wasn't a title that had required a great leap of imagination.
After all, it wasn't like he'd need the accompaniment.
Partaking
He's from hell which has musicals, okay! She's GOTTA know if he can do musical style stuff.
"Woo!! What song are you picking?" she called the question, brushing off the crumbs from the taiyaki that'd gotten on her sleeve thanks to her excited scurry over.

Raven (AKA P4 AU Akechi, smol edition)
He's changed into a red yukata adorned with gold phoenixes, though he fidgets a little, a bit uneasy. Crow suggested it, and Crow... well, he's smart...
But what will Ren think? Astute observers are welcome to pick up on his apprehension...
A bit later, he and his Shadow can be found near the karaoke machine, arguing.
"...I just don't see the point, Shiro. My voice is still cracking. I'm not a singer."
"But you could be, if you just try!"
no subject
Are you the type to get jumpscared, Raven? Because Hamuko practically pops up behind him from out of nowhere (just making rounds again) to encourage him.

Crow (and Hiro) - P4 Akechi AU, tol edition
They're off one of the picnic blankets, with a note on the front of the basket welcoming guests to have a snack.
They come with lovingly crafted offerings, from grilled fish to cute little octopus sausage and even some handcrafted sushi and seaweed salad.
They'll hover around the food and offer greetings for a little bit before they head off to explore.
It's fairly easy to tell them apart, what with Hiro's gold eyes. The white yukata adorned with gold crows should also help him stand out, while Crow came wearing a black yukata with silver crows. The matching attire was Hiro's idea, naturally.
While Hiro frolics around, taking pictures, Crow can be spotted admiring the trails and simply taking a moment to relax.
Those who know Crow may even find this surprising, though both of them are happy to converse.
no subject
He already had some sushi and was sipping on some blood from a blood juice box when he hears a click from a camera and turns to see Hiro. Did Hiro take his picture, or just happened to take one nearby? He wouldn't mind but the shadow can simply ask him to take a picture of him if he wanted to do that.
"Hmm?"

At a table in a distant corner, Wolf and Rook sat together, eating quietly.
Wolf had slept, for most of the past three days, and eaten, and that had done wonders for his overall outlook- and after no small amount of encouragement, he had, in fact, elected to make an appearance.
Sushi had been acquired, along with a few other choice selections. And he could just about manage to tune out the crowd, and pretend everything was fine.
It wasn't, of course. His
phoneDigivice lay on the table, face-down, and try as he might- his gaze kept drifting back to it. To the emblem burned in red into the back of it.It would've been so convenient to be able to pretend that none of it had ever happened, but that little emblem, so innocent- a little stylized heart, outlined in red- was proof. A constant reminder of what had happened. What had been said, and done- and learned.
You couldn't hide from it, because It, it turned out, had been You all along. Forgotten, abused, left in a hole to wither and die- but still, at the end of it all, You- and It, rather than a rose that would wither and die in the absence of exactly the right conditions, was more like a dandelion, and would find purchase to grow in asphalt if you so much as spat on it and left it in the sun.
His gaze returned to his plate, and he took a bite of nigiri.
For one night, at least, he wasn't going to think about it.

Hamuko caught sight of them, and it was a relief to see they did come by. She eagerly came over, waving at the two of them.
"How are you feeling, Wolf? Have you been resting well?"

1: Food? No thanks.
As expected, there's food everywhere- not for him. The idea of cramming even one more piece of sushi or sticky red bean filling from dango down his throat ever makes him want to sew his mouth shut. If he can help it, he's never eating anything ever again. Humans can do as humans want, but that's one particular part of the human experience he's not too keen on copying.
Yuck. Humans and their weird bodily needs. He makes a face at the food stands everywhere, quickly speedwalking past them.
2: ... Yukata?
Falcon doesn't wear clothes. He doesn't need to, anyway. He'd only ever worn clothes as a (forced) disguise, anyway, so it's not like he has pleasant memories attached to them.
Yet... despite himself, his eye is drawn to a midnight black Yukata.
It has a deep, crimson cherry blossom pattern on it, catching the eye, but not being too overbearing. Simple, yet elegant. Not for him, clearly.
... He can appreciate the craft, at least.
3: Hanami.
The main event, and practically the only reason he actually came; the cherry blossom viewing. Well- not the only reason, but it is a big part of it. He's still no social butterfly, after all.
Sitting on a picnic blanket, his legs drawn up to his chin, he certainly looks hesitant to be here, but his eyes are on the blossoms, and on the petals being blown about by gentle winds. The paper lanterns bathe the spectacle in a gentle, orange light, creating a truly beautiful scene.
... It's hard to say what he's thinking, but he's fixated on the view. The only indication that he's paying attention to his surroundings is the way his eyes occasionally shift when someone passes by his spot. Ah, he's still anxious, after all. A confrontation with his Shadows may have exposed it, but it certainly didn't fix everything.
3
"May I join you?" he attempts. He more than half expects a no.

Ichinose had meandered over, carrying a bottle and a half-filled cup of sake with her. She was busy staring at the angel's back, fascinated and curious where the wings were positioned on the spine, at the structure of it all.
