Cherry Blossom Evening Party
Throughout the week, Hamuko has messaged the vast majority of people she's met so far - and eagerly invited them to come meet at Inokashira Park starting at 5pm.

You're invited to an evening sushi-party-turned-hanami-picnic-party! I've organized a bunch of cognitive chefs and performers to come to that park on the listed date/time.
I've sent this to you because you were part of one of the three teams that helped with fighting Fatalis or rescuing Falcon and Wolf (or are Falcon and Wolf themselves!!) - we've all busted our butts a lot lately, so I think we deserve to have something nice together too!
Of course, the party is open if you have any +1s or more. But before spring turns into summer, let's celebrate what we've all accomplished together!

The Venue...
Inokashira Park has a lovely river and trail and a phenomenal collection of cherry blossom trees. They're in the tail end of their season, filling the air with petals like snowfall.
In a large open area, Hamuko's arranged a ton of picnic blankets for people to claim and sit down on, though each blanket is HUGE to accommodate people sitting with as many people as they can handle! There are cozy pillows for sitting on too, stacked neatly to be borrowed.
There's a truly humongous row of tables laid out with an impressive amount of sushi presented. With a few trucks nearby, it seems there's a few sushi chefs making fresh platters of it to lay out through the night.
Similarly, there are food carts along the trails if you're not in the mood for sushi and would rather have some more traditional fare like dango, taiyaki, matcha, takoyaki... it's got the place lively and smelling fantastic! There's sake for the adults, and some cherry-blossomed themed mocktails for minors.

Activities
There's a few set out activities besides just chowing down and socializing or walking along the lantern-lit trails under the cherry blossoms! Inoshikara Park has always had cute little swan pedal boats or regular rowboats for 'rental' (not that money matters here).
The area is SO pretty, perfect for taking pictures to have as keepsakes. There's even a booth to claim a yukata and privately change into it, if you want to go the extra mile!
Finally, in lieu of a traditional band or modern concert, Hamuko has picked out a large set of speakers connected to a small karaoke stage and screen - menace the party with your sing-along! Get a little boost to your Guts!!
Partaking
He's from hell which has musicals, okay! She's GOTTA know if he can do musical style stuff.
"Woo!! What song are you picking?" she called the question, brushing off the crumbs from the taiyaki that'd gotten on her sleeve thanks to her excited scurry over.

"Hamuko, right? Just a favorite from an artist I used to listen to. American, but it's hard to find really good jazz this side of the Pacific."
A sting of brass joined the background, as the lights dimmed, and he couldn't help but wink. "I think you asked after some of the details of how it all works, didn't you?"

Hamuko only heard secondhand about anything involving Phoenix, even that he could create atmospheric music somehow - thanks, Zenkichi - and already she was delighted.
For all of the craziness that Personas, the Dark Hour, the Velvet Room and everything brought... there was something that was so exciting and fun about the idea of just simple, playful magic.
"I. Am. SO. READY!" she giggled, giddy beyond belief.

The thing about a Song was that, in a way, it worked a great deal like a Showtime. Conventional rules of spatial relations and basic physics didn't really apply- what mattered, in the end, was style.
And so, as spotlights flared to life, each staccato note making them flash, closing in on a central point, he slid, backwards, into position, and on the final flash, the one that left him illuminated in full- the yukata was gone, replaced instead with something more... appropriate.
The drums kicked, a piano joined, and Phoenix sang.
β« I let the beast in too soon
I don't know how to live without my hand on his throat
I fight him always and still βͺ
β« Oh darling, it's so sweet
You think you know how crazy
How crazy I am βͺ

The music ramp-up, the atmosphere transforming, the instruments all sounded so much richer and like a band was there instead of playing from speakers echoing off of the tree trunks. Phoenix's outfit had shifted and all Hamuko could do was excitedly bite her taiyaki to free her hands and get the disposable camera out.
She was grinning ear-to-ear, peeking through the viewfinder for a quick shot as he sang. Go, Phoenix, go, you look incredible!!!

β« You say you don't spook easy
You won't go
But I know
And I pray that you will βͺ
The lights flashed red, and Phoenix turned the movement into an advance, a trace of savagery in a grin that promised so much more than only violence.
β« Fast as you can, baby
Run, free yourself of me
Fast as you can βͺ
And then the stage was in darkness again, lit only by the ember-glow of red eyes and the flicker of light across the floor where he took a step.
β« I may be soft in your palm
But I'll soon grow hungry for a fight
And I will not let you win
My pretty mouth will frame the phrases
That will disprove your faith in man
So if you catch me trying to find my way into your heart
From under your skin
Fast as you can, baby
Scratch me out, free yourself
Fast as you can
Fast as you can, baby
Scratch me out, free yourself
Fast as you can βͺ

There was a strange... feeling, Hamuko noticed. Like she somehow knew the lyrics, even though she'd never heard them before? Like she could jump on stage and sing along, if the moment called for it.
If Hell was like this, then it couldn't be all bad!
Fast as you can, baby,
Scratch me out, free yourself
Fast as you can~

β« Sometimes my mind don't shake and shift
But most of the time, it does
And I get to the place where I'm begging for a lift
Or I'll drown in the wonders and the was βͺ
Steps moved to the rhythm, transmuting a duel into a dance, at times the swish of either a coat or a tail carrying the stranger to arm's length, at times bringing them so close lips and beak had to be touching, only for the next phrase of the duel to bring them apart again.
β« And I'll be your boy, if you say it's a gift
And you give me some more of your drug
Yeah, I'll be your pet, if you just tell me it's a gift βͺ
No, there was no illusion. This was flirting dressed up as flynning, a blade to the throat hiding a brush of the cheek and a chokehold only an excuse for a caress, the singer's blade forced out of the way as his silent partner abandoned all pretense, leading him in a choreographed sweep across the stage-
β« Cause I'm tired of whys, choking on whys
Just need a little because, because βͺ
-only for even these dim lights to go down and fade to black, and as the music stepped down from the bridge, and the lights returned, Phoenix was once more alone.

Hamuko could only gawk in admiration and take a few pictures, internally crossing her fingers that they'd come out well. If they captured even a single moment of this, it'd be amazing...

β« I let the beast in and then
I even tried forgiving him, but it's too soon
So I'll fight again, again, again, again, again
And for a little while more
I'll soar the uneven wind, complain and blame the sterile land βͺ
β« But if you're getting any bright ideas, quiet dear
I'm blooming within βͺ
β« Fast as you can, baby, wait, watch me; I'll be out
Fast as I can, maybe late but at least about
Fast as you can, leave me, let this thing run its route βͺ
β« Fast as you can
Fast as you can
Fast as you can
Fast as you can βͺ
And then it was over. The lights came back, the normal laws of physics resumed, and Phoenix inclined his head in thanks for what applause there was, before vacating the stage and returning to Hamuko. "A little bit of showing off... but I think that's rather the point."

"That's amazing! Can anybody do that kind of magic? That seems so fun! You'd think fun magic wouldn't be in such short supply!"
