Cherry Blossom Evening Party
Throughout the week, Hamuko has messaged the vast majority of people she's met so far - and eagerly invited them to come meet at Inokashira Park starting at 5pm.
⋆🌸₊˚⊹♡❀˖°🌸⋆
You're invited to an evening sushi-party-turned-hanami-picnic-party! I've organized a bunch of cognitive chefs and performers to come to that park on the listed date/time.
I've sent this to you because you were part of one of the three teams that helped with fighting Fatalis or rescuing Falcon and Wolf (or are Falcon and Wolf themselves!!) - we've all busted our butts a lot lately, so I think we deserve to have something nice together too!
Of course, the party is open if you have any +1s or more. But before spring turns into summer, let's celebrate what we've all accomplished together!

The Venue...
Inokashira Park has a lovely river and trail and a phenomenal collection of cherry blossom trees. They're in the tail end of their season, filling the air with petals like snowfall.
In a large open area, Hamuko's arranged a ton of picnic blankets for people to claim and sit down on, though each blanket is HUGE to accommodate people sitting with as many people as they can handle! There are cozy pillows for sitting on too, stacked neatly to be borrowed.
There's a truly humongous row of tables laid out with an impressive amount of sushi presented. With a few trucks nearby, it seems there's a few sushi chefs making fresh platters of it to lay out through the night.
Similarly, there are food carts along the trails if you're not in the mood for sushi and would rather have some more traditional fare like dango, taiyaki, matcha, takoyaki... it's got the place lively and smelling fantastic! There's sake for the adults, and some cherry-blossomed themed mocktails for minors.

Activities
There's a few set out activities besides just chowing down and socializing or walking along the lantern-lit trails under the cherry blossoms! Inoshikara Park has always had cute little swan pedal boats or regular rowboats for 'rental' (not that money matters here).
The area is SO pretty, perfect for taking pictures to have as keepsakes. There's even a booth to claim a yukata and privately change into it, if you want to go the extra mile!
Finally, in lieu of a traditional band or modern concert, Hamuko has picked out a large set of speakers connected to a small karaoke stage and screen - menace the party with your sing-along! Get a little boost to your Guts!!

Clink. Clink.
A second tap followed, a little sharper this time. Not painful. Just annoying. The kind of tap meant specifically to be annoying.
Then came the sound of tiny rotors buzzing, and the faint whirr of a stabilizer adjusting its altitude. Akane and her placement drone had come to bother both Wolf and Rookmon once again.

There was a pause—long enough to be deliberate—before a warm LED blinked to life, and the projector beneath the drone flickered on.
Akane’s digital avatar shimmered into view just beside them: a maroon yukata draped over her usual simplified form, arms folded as she leaned into one hip with a mock-patient expression. The box of food passed straight through her translucent shoulder.
And she smirked.
"I see you’re brooding your biggest brood at the Broodway," she announced dryly, brow arched like it physically hurt her to watch him sit like that. "Starring: you and- Hiiii Rook!" Her voice immediately switched as she waved at the digimon next to Wolf.

"Yeah, hi. And I'm not brooding," he groused, in defiance of all evidence.

"Also good evening, good evening! I am...surely enjoying. I am saving the actual eating for later." She continues on as she answers to Rook's words as she actually gets up from her seat at the table, her drone following behind her as it kept projecting her form below as she makes her way over to the digimon. "Can I- can I hold you-? Maybe I could-" her words die as she watches her hand brush past the table and actually- her whole body rather.
"Right. Dang it." She sighs as she rather comedically stays floating above the table like some sort of half-baked magic trick. She looks like she's sunk emotionally five feet under with the worst news delivered to her doorstep. "You know what, junior, I will join you with the brooding. Over my lack of a body."

His voice died, as she voiced the request, reached out-
And passed right through Rookmon.
Wolf frowned.
And was silent, for several seconds, with an expression that suggested he was dredging something from the very depths of his soul, with great difficulty- and, some time later, he finally gave it voice.
"... You know what I can do. Do you want me to... I don't know. Come in?"

Her father would have caught that hint by now so...
I don't know. Come in?
"...?" She hadn't realized she had spaced out really- didn't even realize her position before she was taking her metaphorical seat on one of the chairs again. She tilted her head at him. "Like...going into my virtual space?"
"You sure that won't spend away at your energy? Like it's okay I could-" she catches herself when she doesn't know what she could do NOW that she could later. "I can wait it out till we are in an actual cognitive space."
Her twitching smile betrayed her need to compensate.

"I guess we could try that," she says hesitantly as if she were told to step into a shark cage and thrown into the depths. "Good for my database. The more cognitive digital environments I know, the more prepared I will be."

There was light- and then nothing, as he and Rookmon simply... vanished.
The Digital World existed in layers. He'd always thought of this as the 'Network Layer', the one closest to humanity, preoccupied with their myriad devices, their comings and goings. Here, every device more complex than a simple calculator was a little spark, and in Tokyo- the Network was an ocean of starlets in white and blue. Akane's drone was another, but carrying with it a doorway to something vastly more complex.

Soon enough, in that complex ocean- Akane looked up from her screens and sensed a presence beyond the door (well a metaphorical one really considering there was no set location in the network layer just as it was linked to a string of regular GET requests)- reaching for the knob and pulling it as her head would practically pop out in the ocean of data- a half manifested plain maroon yukata over her otherwise plain form.
"Huh. I haven't had anyone visit me in person like this," she blurted out in shock at the two of them as she opened the door. She moved in to the gap between her door and the vast open free space of data.

Placing another hand on top of Wolf's- the space shifts to a familiar office space. Her home. "Holy shit..." She murmurs really not able to believe how this moment came to be.
She turns to look at Rookmon and pulls away from Wolf for a bit.
"Rookmon!!! C'mere!" She cries out in almost childlike joy as she pulls the digimon into a deep hug- patting his feathers while leaning down like caressing a big dog. "No need to thank me at all, hehe. I am just glad both of you are okay now. I gotta ask though ...was he being difficult after the dungeon?" She grins at Wolf while pulling away to inquisitively glance at the digimon, her bitterness and distance gone from the physical contact. Heart soaring.
