Just out of interest -

Has anyone other than myself and the Ren who blew up part of Shinjuku some months back been doing any significant experiments on the cognitive properties of this space? If so, have you found out anything interesting?

I know there were a group of you training in that tower in Iwatodai, but did you find anything there of interest, or just Shadows to beat up?

Well, that's a pity, frankly. I wonder if we could get it to stick if we all did a mural as a group.

That's an excellent idea. I would be willing to help experiment with this, if you would like. I've found that I enjoy graffiti art, and it would be nice to have art be able to remain.

It also makes me wonder if I would be able to get the CAT mural from my Shibuya to stick for any length of time. It's a cognitive object in its own right, so it may have more staying power.

'CAT mural'? It sounds like there must be quite a story behind it, for it to also be a cognitive object.

CAT is a fairly well known artist in Shibuya 104 (as I've been calling the world I'm most recently from), mostly working in street art and related styles. They haven't been active recently, but they're affiliated somehow with the Game, probably either another Reaper or an ex-Player, because their large mural in Udagawa is Imprinted with a cognitive command: "Enjoy the moment."

How fascinating. That said, a cognitive command? Could you elaborate on that?

It's a nudge in the subconscious that trends people receptive to it towards a certain outcome, but it isn't mind control or anything like that. Most people wouldn't be conscious of it.

A nudge in a particular direction, then. I see. You know, this sounds almost a little familiar somehow, but I can't quite put my finger on it...

Perhaps another thing I've forgotten?

I suppose, given my circumstances, it would be rather obvious that it would be a forgotten memory... It was a rather silly question to ask.

If you have any guesses on what this memory may be, however, I will gladly hear you out.

I, or my Persona if you think of those as separate, called it 'Call of Chaos.' It's an ability that when administered to a Shadow, caused them to go berserk, and the person in the real world would attempt to fulfill whatever impulse was buried in their heart, or have a mental shutdown if they couldn't do so.

If that tickles something more distinctive, then most likely that ability is one of the memories you've lost.

Call of Chaos. I've heard of it a handful of times now. It's such a violent ability, and I still struggle to believe I used such a thing. Could I really have used such a power? The thought of it worries me, truth be told.

Should anyone have such a power?
