Something about delicious pancakes?

Is there something in particular about pancakes? I've been told it's an 'inside joke' of sorts, but I seem to be out of the loop. Could someone enlighten me on this?

I mean I do enjoy them, but I wouldn't go as far as to say they're my favorite food or such. I'm not even certain I have a favorite food.

It just seems so strange, as though I should know, and yet I have no idea in the slightest what this could be referring to.

Any clarification would be helpful.

It must be one of the new arrivals, or someone crafty enough to have procured a burner phone for the express purpose of trolling us.

I doubt it's Ren. Even at his most mischievous, he'd know better than to prod at a sore spot after what happened at the Halloween party.

I suppose I could step up my game and welcome more people, but I have been trying to take it easy of late.

They got a burner phone, just to send a few prank texts. There's no question this is one of the Rens. Or an Akira, I suppose, technically.

It's difficult to conclude anything about the Akiras, in honesty. There are so few of them that we have to write them off as statistical error.

[And a good thing too, if you ask him. Ren's name is ... well, hopefully it goes without saying.]

I remember when he assumed only Akiras had glasses, and then my Ren showed up.

Perhaps one day he'll unravel the mystery behind the name discrepancies...
