Something about delicious pancakes?

Is there something in particular about pancakes? I've been told it's an 'inside joke' of sorts, but I seem to be out of the loop. Could someone enlighten me on this?

I mean I do enjoy them, but I wouldn't go as far as to say they're my favorite food or such. I'm not even certain I have a favorite food.

It just seems so strange, as though I should know, and yet I have no idea in the slightest what this could be referring to.

Any clarification would be helpful.

well, hellborn get sick and injured and dont magically sticth themselves backtogether, so yeah

its not free but good news is in the circumstances the people at the top are pulling strings to get people injured this time taken care of

it was touch and go and i really don't want to try my hand at war again

but everyone close to me made it out at least

maybe that's a selfish thing to think but at this point fuck it, i think i'm due being allowed to be a little selfish

full recovery should be quick at least, needed stitches and i'm more or less getting kicked out tomorrow since i'm low-priority

but yes, last palace operation went pretty good all things considered, wouldnt mind working with you again

Drake's doing well. I shan't go into too much detail, I'll get complaints from the peanut gallery. This business with the pancakes is the most excitement I think we've had in a while.

I admit, it's hard to picture something that could put you out of commission. You always seemed like you'd eat all comers for lunch.

unfortunately this was all in meat space, where the spirit is willing but the flesh is squishy and does not take kindly to getting sharpened bits of blessed steel shoved into it

It's tempting to ask what the point of being a demon even is, if you can still get laid up in hospital and, theoretically, charged for the privilege.

Please don't feel you need to explain. I know it's more complicated than that.

the big divide really is between hellborn, which are native demons born here, and sinners, who are mortals that passed on, failed to meet whatever fucking standard exists at the pearly gates, and wound up here. sinners are immortal and can't be permanently killed except by angelic weaponry, while hellborn run the gamut between 'functionally equivalent to human if a bit stronger/tougher/more resilient' and 'ageless beings similar to sinners in terms of raw power but still, technically, mortal by virtue of the fact that they can be killed'

or the Sins, who are all just kind of in a league of their own and are more or less minor deities in their own right.
