It ain't your fault. When this shit decides it's gonna happen, it happens. Probably would've come to this sooner or later, even if you did talk to him first.

But anyway, between you and Crow it sounds like we have people who can navi for both groups, and if Rose is right we don't need to worry about a third group, so that's good.

[Wolf would say that too if he had known. Still.]

I wasn’t cognizant enough to recognize the gravity of Wolf-kun’s situation in time, but with everyone working together here, I’m sure we’ll be able to get him out. :)

That said—can I get a basic rundown on how you usually handle these scenarios? What’s the minimum we need to know about the target beforehand? I assume that running into someone’s Shadow means encountering... unfiltered trauma, so having some context ahead of time might help with damage control.

Sounds like you probably have enough of an idea to get us to the dungeon. It's mainly having some kind of idea of what's on their mind lately. For Rise, the fact that she was struggling with the difference between her idol persona and her 'real self' did the trick. Naoto was too hung up on obsessing over the murder case and the police department going 'you're just a kid, stop trying to help.' Neither of those were the whole problem, but enough to find where they were.

Dunno what they found out about me to get to mine, I never asked. And for a couple, we didn't have to.

Unfiltered trauma is. Likely. Having to deal with your own face going 'here's all your buried insecurities and fears!' sucks. I haven't seen anyone get out of that without trying to deny it, which is what sets off the big fight.

It's DEFINITELY related to the title screen that showed at the end of Wolf's uh...scene. It's infinitisemly worrying and knowing the info I have now- it's probably not going to make this any easier to stomach.
That said once we actually get to the exploration things will probably clear up more.

I bet having to confront all of what you just described couldn't be easy. I find that really cool.

I know I wouldn't find it any easier to accept that if it was thrown right in my face :/

The most optimal solution would be is to support both of them once the storm clears.

Which does make me curious- since the tv dungeon doesn't clear, does that mean there's a possibility of all of this relapsing or...once you have a persona things are smooth sailing?

It isn't easy. And if no one's there to help with the fight, you don't come out alive. Sure, people respawn here or whatever, but let's not do that if we don't have to, and we don't.

Nobody I know of's relapsed, anyway.
