Welcome to the TV Dungeon hub for Gorobo and Digigoro's TV Dungeons! Here, you can find all relevant information, as well as the toplevels for each 'checkpoint' of the plot. In case you are unable to tag for any reason at all, or threads go past the deadline, please indicate what your character(s) did in the summary check-in below!

SCHEDULE:

15/3/25: Signups open. 

 

21/3/25(Today!): Hub goes up. 

 

22/3/25: Toplevel of Gorobo and Digigoro's appearance on the Midnigh Channel. General catch-all for players to have their character react to the disappearances, and their appearances on the Midnight Channel, as well as to ICly create a team/plan/etc

 

29/3/25: Toplevels for the dungeons. Characters will discover one dungeon that, when entered, splits into two distinct dungeons. ICly, they will not know what path leads to who, but we will provide info OOCly for players to make a decision.

 

5/4/25: Toplevels for the confontation with the Shadows.

 

12/4/25: Resolution toplevels. Characters can speak to Gorobo or Digigoro after the fact, or with one another to discuss what happened.

DUNGEONS:

It appears as one dungeon. On the outside, it is a jungle-covered Tokyo. The main building is a laboratory, which has a staircase going up, and one going down. For Digigoro, take the stairs down. For Gorobo, take the stairs up.

Far as finding the dungeons, that's where we're gonna need navi types and people who know a thing or two about these people, and it sounds like we got that pretty well covered.

It's gonna be further complicated by the fact that he's in a really damn awkward spot timeline-wise.

'complete shitheel' doesn't do the man justice. I live in Hell, and Masayoshi Shido is still, somehow, the worst person I've ever met.

I'm not bringing this up to out Wolf or anything, I just wouldn't want you to be blindsided by what you see in there.

I've talked about this with one or two other people and the timeline seems to line up. Based on his age, he would've been coming into the Velvet Room... not long after Shido first ordered him to kill.

I'm extrapolating from secondhand information, which is to say 'taking a wild guess'- but I'm guessing it's something that's been weighing on him. Especially considering the victim was, in all likelihood, Futaba's mother.

That was my experience, and I'm given to understand, unfortunately, that it's a relatively common one.

Masayoshi Shido honestly, earnestly believes, in his heart of hearts, that he is the most important human being in existence. He thinks he's literally chosen by God to be the savior of Japan, and by that logic there is literally... nothing.

Nothing that isn't justified, nothing that somehow crosses a line. Nothing that matters other than his goal. Nothing that has value in the world beyond its ability to serve him.

The man sexually assaults women because he's rich and powerful and they're not. If anyone becomes a nuisance or sleights him, he destroys their life so they learn their place. If they're lucky or small enough, he doesn't just quietly have them killed- which he does, and constantly, whether through his connections to the Yakuza, or through the Metaverse. And the worst part of it all is that he's clever enough to get away with all of it.

Unfortunately, I was fourteen, and angry, and alone, and stupid. I wanted a lot of things and Shido is very good at making you think you're going to get what you want out of him. It usually works right up to the moment he has you shot.

I can't speak for everyone, but that's what the situation was like for me. It was the worst mistake I ever made.

That's a familiar combo. I went for 'chase down the biker gang and beat the shit out of them because they were keeping Mom up at night.'

Not the same extreme, but if she hadn't been in the picture either... I probably would've found about as big of trouble as Inaba could offer.

For what it's worth, I'm glad you got out of that situation, at least.

If Raven's timeline lines up with yours at all, you've got a pretty kickass support system, and that's something to hold onto.

There were eight of them and one of me. I had to chase them down on my bike because I wasn't anywhere near old enough for even a scooter license. Left Daidara-san an IOU for one of his shields and took off. Jammed my hand so bad I was worried I wouldn't be able to knit anymore for two solid weeks.

Easily the stupidest shit I've ever done, but they're still too scared to come back, so it worked out.

I do, yeah. That much does line up. And I'm not letting 'em go for anything.
