Welcome to the TV Dungeon hub for Gorobo and Digigoro's TV Dungeons! Here, you can find all relevant information, as well as the toplevels for each 'checkpoint' of the plot. In case you are unable to tag for any reason at all, or threads go past the deadline, please indicate what your character(s) did in the summary check-in below!

SCHEDULE:

15/3/25: Signups open. 

 

21/3/25(Today!): Hub goes up. 

 

22/3/25: Toplevel of Gorobo and Digigoro's appearance on the Midnigh Channel. General catch-all for players to have their character react to the disappearances, and their appearances on the Midnight Channel, as well as to ICly create a team/plan/etc

 

29/3/25: Toplevels for the dungeons. Characters will discover one dungeon that, when entered, splits into two distinct dungeons. ICly, they will not know what path leads to who, but we will provide info OOCly for players to make a decision.

 

5/4/25: Toplevels for the confontation with the Shadows.

 

12/4/25: Resolution toplevels. Characters can speak to Gorobo or Digigoro after the fact, or with one another to discuss what happened.

DUNGEONS:

It appears as one dungeon. On the outside, it is a jungle-covered Tokyo. The main building is a laboratory, which has a staircase going up, and one going down. For Digigoro, take the stairs down. For Gorobo, take the stairs up.

Oh rookmon... Akane suppressed the urge to giggle at that question. The sooner the sound of it came, she reigned it in as she calmly continued, "I meant microphone. Not someone named Mike haha. The abbreviated form of it goes as m-i-c which is basically me checking my microphone!"

"Also, you know that's a really good question. The thing is these shadows or any in particular exists because of well- the pysche of one's mind. They draw power from it so removing them won't harm say the jail owner, or the source of this dungeon's distortion."

The glow of her jewel dulled down a bit. "That said...if we were to attack and bring harm to Wolf's shadow after bringing it to its most vulnerable form- that would lead to dire results."

"The Lesser Shadows are simply enemies trawling the dungeon. Wolf's Shadow could theoretically command them or summon a particularly powerful Shadow as an obstacle, but there's no danger in fighting them."

He nods at Akane's comment about attacking the Shadow. "Ideally, we need to convince Wolf to accept his Shadow. If he so much as utters 'you're not me,' a fight will ensue, in which case we can weaken the Shadow, but not kill it."

Wild hums at Raven's explanation; that sounds familiar enough. Even when stealing a treasure, they usually had to beat a Shadow into giving it up. The last bit, however, is new to him.

"There's no easy way to prevent that from happening, I'm guessing. We can't exactly force him to accept his Shadow." Encourage him, sure, but... Wild's not exactly familiar with Wolf. Raven and Rook, however...

"Rook, you're his best friend. If it comes down to it, do you think you can convince him?"

Kaitou's not sure if the others heard his warning of his eating shadows habit, but he makes a mental note to apologize later.

He nods at the explaination.

"We'll have to support Wolf best we can, and if we have to fight his shadow, so be it."

Hopefully they can avoid a fight if possible.

"So there's a difference between shadows in general and a person's shadow?" Hamuko asked. It'd been something she'd gleaned a bit from passing conversations and bulletin notes, but she had yet to actually ask outright - Iwatodai and the Dark Hour didn't seem to delve into individual people's shadows, after all.

"From what was on the television, it sounded like there was a big monster, right? Is there a chance there's something besides Wolf's shadow here that's a bigger threat than the rank-and-file shadows?"

... A big monster. Rookmon's brows furrowed.

"I... did not see the television. What sort of monster? Did you see it?"

"I don't think anyone saw anything specifically besides some eyes or fangs... we did hear a wolf howl, though," Hamuko clarified with a small nod.
