Welcome to the TV Dungeon hub for Gorobo and Digigoro's TV Dungeons! Here, you can find all relevant information, as well as the toplevels for each 'checkpoint' of the plot. In case you are unable to tag for any reason at all, or threads go past the deadline, please indicate what your character(s) did in the summary check-in below!

SCHEDULE:

15/3/25: Signups open. 

 

21/3/25(Today!): Hub goes up. 

 

22/3/25: Toplevel of Gorobo and Digigoro's appearance on the Midnigh Channel. General catch-all for players to have their character react to the disappearances, and their appearances on the Midnight Channel, as well as to ICly create a team/plan/etc

 

29/3/25: Toplevels for the dungeons. Characters will discover one dungeon that, when entered, splits into two distinct dungeons. ICly, they will not know what path leads to who, but we will provide info OOCly for players to make a decision.

 

5/4/25: Toplevels for the confontation with the Shadows.

 

12/4/25: Resolution toplevels. Characters can speak to Gorobo or Digigoro after the fact, or with one another to discuss what happened.

DUNGEONS:

It appears as one dungeon. On the outside, it is a jungle-covered Tokyo. The main building is a laboratory, which has a staircase going up, and one going down. For Digigoro, take the stairs down. For Gorobo, take the stairs up.

"Falcon!" A raw scream left her body as she for the first time stepped out from behind Phoenix and tried to get to him. She had to think, she had to think, What could they do, how to stop the pod, how... how... how...

Was fighting personas different than shadows? She didn't know what to do. She couldn't hurt him. She couldn't hurt anyone. There were tears in her eyes as she was trying to process everything and she felt so frustrated she was just not strong enough to protect them yet.

Oh! well that’s probably bad. But this is a fight right? Now they fight! She can fight!
Wait, follow the groups lead.

“Well, we tried. What’s the plan boss?” Shame they couldn’t talk things out, but she’s much better at fighting than words! She takes an aggressive stance, ready to jump in at a moments word.
Someone should probably get Falcon out of the pod, but she reaaaaaly wants to fight those shadows!

Well that definitely went poorly.

"Falcon!"

She would go try to break Falcon free, but better to let Crow give the word first. Incase he has someone else do that while the rest of them do distraction.

She can work with it regardless.

The music swelled, ominous and bombastic in the finest traditions of the genre.

Ah, the joys of diegesis.

"It happens. It's not something you or anyone here did wrong." Phoenix willed Fafnir to the fore, its suite of Auto skills shimmering into existence around the assembled party.

And for good measure, the dragon roared, casting the aura of Limelight around its summoner.

The stage is set. All eyes on me.

"You've both had beef with me since the very beginning, I'll bet. Old wounds never really heal, right?" Falcon remembered the operation. The hacking. He probably even remembered the paint bomb.

The Limelight definitely catches the faux Robin Hood's attention, as it immediately turns towards Phoenix, a mad cackle leaving its mouth.

"That's right, you traitor! Your form definitely betrays the demon you are, inside out!"

Robin Hood takes aim, Bless magic glowing at the fingertips.

"Any kinship I felt with you- you definitely scared it out of me! Now, how about some Divine Punishment?"

With that, a hammer goes crashing towards Phoenix- Divine Punishment.

The centaur Loki, however affected it may be by the Limelight, eyes focused on Phoenix, does not discriminate in its own attack.

"Die! Die! None of you deserve my mercy!"

With little warning, it rushes forward, channeling its power into a frenzied Bloodbath.

Phoenix isn't the only one showering the party with auto boosts. Once the combat begins, Crow's Trumpeter emerges, with all three auto buffs shining over the party.

With Trumpeter active, Crow takes the hit from Bloodbath, but Hiro does not. His ability to Repel Physical knocks back some of the damage to the opposing Shadow. While Crow uses Concentrate, Hiro unleashes a Megidolaon.

He's frailer in this form, but that shouldn't hinder his offensive capabilities, and the added speed and agility should come in handy.

Thankfully Knight managed to dodge the attack. Since she didn't get any orders, and both shadows seem distracted, she takes her chance to try to sneak towards the pod holding Falcon.

If she manages to get there, she proceeds to try to break it with her sword. She'll try her persona next if there's no dent.

Now we’re talking! She manages to dodge out of the way of the attack and grins.
She can leave saving Falcon to the others, she wants to fight!! Hound turns her focus to the persona, and decides to slash at the centaur looking loki with her claw weapons, giggling all while she tries to land a hit.
At least she’s having fun?

She yelped when hit with some of the damage, luckily she wasn't hit by everything, She can thank Hildr for that. She glanced between everyone, before using her persona to cast Sukunda at the Loki looking one. Since that one seemed to be at least a target. She stepped back behind Pheonix as she knew her place belonged back there, out of the way of attacks but able to see enough to support.

You're powered up, get in there

Fortunately for Phoenix, Fafnir repelled most forms of physical damage- and though the Divine Judgment was a blow, the dragon still wasn't weak to it, and so weathered the onslaught admirably.

Time to switch tactics.

Phoenix tore his mask free, likely drawing even further attention to himself. "Come on, Falcon, I've fought off the divine before, you'll have to try harder. COME, SAMAEL!"

The golden lion manifested in a flare of azure flame, and he elected to follow it up with a gesture- a golden aura that surrounded Shiho as he charged forward and into melee range of the two Shadows.

Skill used: Tyrant's Will. Enjoy your free Charge, Knight.

Knight feels the charge and she uses this to not only continue to attack the pod, she even summons her persona Bradamante (who resembles a female knight despite having a floating helmet for a face), and has her attack the pod with an Assault Dive.

Hopefully she'll be able to break Falcon out before the two shadows notice what she's doing.

Luckily for Knight, the Shadows are distracted with the rest, most noteably Phoenix with his Limelight. Robin Hood spouts more horrible words, while Loki merely lets out an animalistic cry. A Cursed Arrow* goes flying towards Phoenix, while the rest also has to deal with Loki's Evil Smile, trying to inflict Fear.

Her hits definitely deals damage to the pod, and after the strike with her Persona, the door of the pod cracks open, revealing the captive Falcon, his eyes wide.

"Hmm! Mphhh!"

Whatever he's trying to say, his voicebox won't obey. He's struggling against the cables, a certain desperation in his movements as, on the screen above, the percentage bar rises slowly but surely- sitting at an uncomfortable 27% already. The door is busted, but Falcon's definitely not free yet, and with those cables wound so close around him... would a Persona attack risk hurting him, too?

Door being open is good, but yeah a persona attack would risk hurting him. So instead, she looks at the cables connected to the wall and start trying to cut him free from it. Or if that doesn't work, try to unplug him with her hands.

Either way, it's basically doing surgery despite her not being a surgeon or know anything about robotics.

Bug was not lucky at all. She got one look at Loki's smile and felt all the color drain from her face. She felt frozen in place, she couldn't focus on any of the things in her abilities. Her hands shook as she held onto her knife, glacing at her adoptive dad for support.

Blessedly, Samael was not weak to Darkness- that attack would've dropped him in one go. As it stood, it sent him to one knee- and it took him a moment to get back up. That'd been a surprise- Robin Hood throwing out Curse attacks? But...

Yes, it'd been so damn long he'd almost forgotten- Robert was so much more specialized, he'd come to think of that Persona as 'the light one', but that hadn't been Robin Hood, had it?

Phoenix spat, and it came out as a spatter of black on the ground, as he stood.

He's seen Freyja before. If I swap to her to heal, he'll do that again and he'll definitely be able to drop me. I'm the one with his ire, and Crow has healing Personas too. So does Bug. Knight's getting him free but she needs cover to do it. Need to have faith in them.

He didn't dare take his eyes off the duo of attackers, but he interposed himself between Futaba and them. "Keep it together, people. Crow, patch us up if you please. Bug- don't give in to fear. There's no reason we can't handle this. As for you, Falcon... you think we aren't here to take all of you home? Trust me, if we had a problem with your surly metal ass before now, you would've known. I wouldn't have gone hunting for you in Inaba just because I thought you needed a friend. I damn sure wouldn't give you a Goetic Seal and specific instructions on how to use it if you needed it. That's not just an idle oath, Falcon, that's magically binding. You know me by face and by name and by seal and if you wanted, you could do serious harm to me with that. You think I'd trust just anyone with that? You think I'd trust a machine with that kind of power over me? Get your head out of your ass."

A Persona emerged, almost taunting. It was gaunt, and horned, like Loki, but its armor was sleek and functional, not garish and zebra-patterned, adorned with furs and runes- but there was no mistaking the sword, nor the smile that promised chaos- and death.

Loki Laufeyson waited, for now, sizing up a Charge as it eyed its twin opponents.

Luckily Hound manages to dodge the fear inducing attack but there is a problem, these guys have curse. Aaaaand she’s weak to curse.
Well shit. Guess she better not get hit! Which will be difficult because she plans to make herself a big red target.
If the people trying to free Falcon need eyes off them than she will certainly keep eyes on her! She has a heal, she can take it.

“Fenrir!” She summoned her persona and aimed a double fangs at her opponent, which was the loki looking one. With the fear attack. And definitely curse.
As long as it’s attention is anywhere but the people helping Falcon then getting knocked down in retaliation isn’t the worst thing

In retrospect, Wolf had the vague feeling he shouldn't be here.

Falcon's humanity was evident- that much was clear through the whole dungeon. The shadows, the memories, the ghastly implications of being used as a weapon by a higher power...Wolf could feel his own heart palpitating at the idea of it. At the idea of only remaining standing because he obeyed like a good dog.

If anything, he convinced himself it was easier to consider this as any other mission going forth. Like the jails, the requests, the assassinations-

The fear comes in waves. Permeates through him, a brief memory flashes and then he's releasing a quiet groan, hand to his mask as he steadies himself. "Valjean!" He cries out for his persona as his mask buzzes, set alight in fire as a Heat Riser flows through his body. Phoenix is busy retaliating against Falcon and he might be the best shot as serving as the mouthpiece. Bug is under his protection. Crow's working on healing. Hound's working on distracting the centaur which leaves him behind to play a secondary role.

He rushes to Knight's place since that is where she and Falcon are most vulnerable- coming to stop right before her. "Need a hand?" Serving as cover is crucial here and his greatsword, while currently manifested out of sight is ready at his beck and call when an enemy approaches him.

I'll transfer the relevant data to you. Show me your port.

"The ports- underneath his wrist-" he hunches down and slightly ushers his wrist to reveal one of the main cables that Falcon used when they had transferred information earlier. He grits his teeth at the tug and without another thought reveals his gun and shoots down the cable- simply ripping through in with a BANG! while minding his proximity with Falcon.

"Okay that's the main port, the other areas I think..." he looks at the myriad of cables already attached and some detached. "A little more and that should do it-! Should be able to carry his body away from the noise if he grows too weak," There's not much he can do aside from recounting his model and how it particularly works but he can offer a hand here and there.

If there's any shadow attacks, his senses are alert right now because of his Heat Riser and he will play cover so go ham if needed hehe

"Kohryu." Crow remains composed, calling the golden dragon to his side to douse the party with Salvation.

A cautious Hiro watches the ensuing chaos. He doesn't want to hurt Falcon, but he doesn't want to be useless, either. After giving it some thought, he fires off a Debilitate at Robin Hood to hopefully make things easier for Phoenix.

Knight was busy trying to free Falcon when she notices Wolf. She isn't sure him being over here is a good idea as the shadows might notice them. But then again, this is different from past times the Phantom Thieves had to be sneaky.

So she listens to the instructions and does as told, unplugging cables until finally it seems like Falcon might be free. Hopefully.

She will definitely need the help with carrying him as anti-shadow weapons are very heavy due to the nature as robots. Assuming he can't walk anyway.

Fortunately for Knight and Wolf, Phoenix' Limelight continues to do its job, keeping both Shadows' attention on him.

"Pretty words from someone who has everything!" Robin sneers, taking aim with another attack- a surprise Diamond Dust to freeze over Phoenix' feathered ass. "Seal? Seal? You have a whole family who loves you and would fight for you back home! Me? All I've got is Amamiya- and our relationship is build on lies. I'm alone, and you're not! It's not fair! IT'S NOT FAIR!"

"I am a machine, no matter what I do," Loki growls. "Denying it is pointless." And just like that, it follows up with a Maeigaon,, spread wide to hit as many targets as possible.

At the pod, however, Knight and Wolf's efforts haven't been in vain. The cables around Falcon's arms fall slack, and he practically rips his arms free. The rest is quick to follow- tearing at the cables like a wild animal, his eyes frantic, until-

"ERROR. FAILURE TO DETECT MALFUNCTIONING UNIT. ABORTING..."

"I'm not malfunctioning," Falcon growls, stepping forward and out of the pod, clutching his head. He's a little dizzy, stumbling somewhat, but quickly regains his balance. He glances at Knight and Wolf, before turning to his Shadows, raising his arms, ready to fight, even without his Personas.

"No time for thanks. Let's end this."

This, finally, draws the Shadows' attention, Loki letting out a furious roar, while Robin cried out in anger.

"You! When did you get freed?!"

"Woah woah woah, we can end it sure but you are not in the state to-" he is immediately schooling Falcon and is just about ready to hunch down and flop him down on his shoulder like a firefighter if it came down to it but alas- their victory is shortlived.

He grits his teeth at the attention seemingly diverted on them but a canine soon follows. Being put in the pitch like this-! He knows damn well how to pull the rug under these two! "Sorry to ruin your little suicide mission folks but frankly I have had enough of this. Human or robot- this is your damn humanity. Listen to Phoenix!" His soul soars within him, the growing burn associated with Valjean filling his lungs as he feels like he could possibly-!
His hand goes to his mask- fingers clasping the cool metal but never enough to pull as the mask only envelops in flames; singes his skin as he grits his teeth and lets his previous heatriser charge him through. "Just give it up already!"

His persona manifests up from the battle ground- unstable as there's a vague glitch from the bound legs before the bulking form of Valjean with its wrists chained fly up- swinging in harsh arcs as they latch onto the shadow's limbs- whichever available and flung them up. Quite literally.



And he sure as hell won't miss his mark.

The guns come like they are the very extensions of his hands. BANG! BANG! BANG! A guaranteed almighty sequence. Akane called it a showtime. Bullets scatter, a barrage of fireworks as he should hopefully get them knocked down for the meantime. He spins one of the revolvers as the persona disappears and his eyes are back on Knight and Falcon again. Did that do it-?!

"Do NOT charge those two without a plan or else I am carrying your ass right out of the battlefield. Trust me on that-!" He's mostly looking at Falcon.

AHA Yes! YES!!! Falcon is free!! She’d cheer for that if she could, but she’s focused on remaining a distraction.
Unfortunately for her though, the loki looking shadow used Maeigaon and double unfortunately she wasn’t quick enough to dodge.
This is gonna hurt.
She’s hit and knocked back, and more importantly knocked down. Hound is spayed face down on the floor in a daze. Ooooowwwww

Thanking the Maeigaon didn't reach Knight, or she would have been in trouble given her weakness to curse/darkness.

"Bradamante!"

This time her persona sends out a Kougaon towards Loki.

Hopefully that works.

The opening that Valjean created was one he fully intended to take advantage of. "Bug, can you get Hound?! She's down-" Loki Laufeyson staggered backwards under the force of the ice- but resisted it. The curse, however, seemed to bleed into the Persona, for a moment, leaving its bearer looking better off than when Falcon had started.

And in retaliation, it swung for Robin Hood, blue-white light collecting along its edge as it swept downward in a Rebellion Blade.

And all this to drive the Shadow back, to force an opening- which he took advantage of, drawing close enough for that half of Falcon's psyche to feel his breath, making every effort to push him back, to pin him and force him to listen-

"You're right. It is unfair. I'm the luckiest son of a bitch alive or dead, for everything I have. And you know what? If you asked me to, if you wanted to give up on taking down Shido and let the Phantoms handle him? I'd take you back with me, and damn the consequences. No one could argue we don't have the space."

Fuck you, you think I don't care.

Both Crow and Hiro withstand the Maeigaon without taking damage, thanks to Hiro's curse immunity as well as Kohryu's. Nonetheless, Crow calls upon Kohryu to heal once more. They'd best err on the side of caution.

"Some of us are lucky, it's true. I think about that every day," Crow says. "I didn't ask to be better off than anyone else who bears the 'Goro Akechi' name, and if I could share even a fraction of my fortune, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Out of all of us, you deserve it by far."

"I know it's hard, Goro," Shiro adds, and yes, he is calling Falcon by his preferred name. "It's true that you are a machine, just as I'm a Persona. T here will always be some line separating us from humans, no matter how much we assimilate... but that's down to physiology. We both have souls, and if Aigis-san and Labrys-san can find a place in this world, I know you can too."

Even still, he launches Myriad Arrows, hoping to at least land one critical and buy the others more time.
