Something about delicious pancakes?
Is there something in particular about pancakes? I've been told it's an 'inside joke' of sorts, but I seem to be out of the loop. Could someone enlighten me on this?
I mean I do enjoy them, but I wouldn't go as far as to say they're my favorite food or such. I'm not even certain I have a favorite food.
It just seems so strange, as though I should know, and yet I have no idea in the slightest what this could be referring to.
Any clarification would be helpful.

open. very open. especially to everyone who might have received a pancake
If you know what I mean.

Perhaps it's rather odd timing, yes, but there was something to bring it about. I received a sudden text message containing nothing but a particular image. And unfamiliar number as well.
Though, I get the sense you already know what image I'm speaking of.

I do. I received it myself, from an unfamiliar number. I know of some others who received it, though I suspect there must be more.
It would be curious to know who they were, all in all.

They sent me a couple of other messages after the initial image. I'm uncertain of exactly how much help it will provide in discerning the sender's identity, but I can tell you, if you'd like. After all, any information is better than none.
...Though... he really wants to know about the pancakes...
Perhaps we can make this an exchange of information? I'll explain our interaction, and you can elaborate on the history involving these pancakes.

[He doesn't particularly want to explain it, even less so in public.]
As someone has already pointed out, you really don't want to know.
no subject
Perhaps that was insensitive, my apologies. It wasn't my intent to do so.
However, you must understand that I can't stand not knowing. It's something I should remember, isn't it? And yet I don't. I want-- need to correct that.
I'd rather know the truth as painful as it may be than continue living in a blissful lie.
He's saying this about pancakes, good grief...

Perhaps it's cruel of me to withhold knowledge from you, of what may be your own memories.
By the look of it, that same someone has already given you a summary. Believe me, it is not a memory I cherish.
At all.
Closed to Magpie
But they're necessary. These feelings are mine, just as that memory is. I want to keep them, even if it's painful.
Thank you, Magpie.
As I promised, I'll tell you what little I know about the sender. Overall it's not a lot of information, but they said something about how their joke made their friend 'hate' pancakes which, in hindsight, presumably means their friend is a version of us.
If there was any doubt that it was a version of Amamiya-san or Kurusu-san, then I believe we've gotten the closest we can to confirmation that it's one of them. After all, I believe they tend to be the person that is closest to a 'friend' we tend to have in any given timeline?
no subject
You didn't have to share that with me. I didn't tell you anything, after all.
no subject
So in a sense, I still believe we're even.
I do hope this information helps you even slightly.
no subject
Thank you, Dove.
Let me know if I can help you with any other memories.
no subject
Don't hesitate to approach me as well, should you need my assistance by chance.
no subject
Quite the conversation starter, if nothing else.

[Honestly, his own platonic husband is keeping secrets now.]
You got it after me, then. So there are multiple rounds going out.

It must be one of the new arrivals, or someone crafty enough to have procured a burner phone for the express purpose of trolling us.
I doubt it's Ren. Even at his most mischievous, he'd know better than to prod at a sore spot after what happened at the Halloween party.

Have you encountered him?
no subject
I suppose I could step up my game and welcome more people, but I have been trying to take it easy of late.

[It is tough, though, for one of them to have to take a back seat.]
It should just be a question of listening. This post is already a mine of information.

Clearly this is someone who values anonymity.
no subject
[Who else, after all, would have such a commitment to dumbassery?—as Raven might put it.]
no subject
He was so certain it was the Rens with "dumbass energy."
no subject
[And a good thing too, if you ask him. Ren's name is ... well, hopefully it goes without saying.]

By the way, Magpie, do you go to Taigi? You kept that secret. And I thought we were such good friends.

You can have it, if you want it.
