"I've been sheltering a Phantom Thief for the last six months?!" Sojiro said it like he hadn't quite believed it. Futaba wouldn't blame him if he didn't. Akira was pretty good at pretending to be the quiet type that kept his head down.
"Two of them, for the last month," Futaba corrected him quietly. "I know who killed mom."
"Killed?" Sojiro definitely doesn't believe her when she says it. She can tell by the tone of his voice. His face gets angrier than Futaba thinks she's ever seen him. "Stop this nonsene!"
Her hands are shaking when she sets them on the table. "The way mom died wasn't normal! Why don't you believe me?!" And then it hits her. He doesn't want to. He doesn't trust her because she's associating with a bunch of killers..."You're just the same as everyone else!" She gets up from the booth and bolts out of LeBlanc. It was a rainy night, so even though she didn't have a clue where she was going she had to decide fast.
She gets out to the train station, and realizes there's a blue door there. Had it always been there? She couldn't stay here, Sojiro could track her down this far, and she could at least hide behind it until he wouldn't call the cops.
Slipping in the door what she realizes, is wherever this is definitely isn't right. It's blue and warpy and feels like a palace, but not quite. There's a long nosed man, people wandering around that look like Akechi but...there's definitely not that many of that bastard. The thing that really catches her eye is an evidenced board that looked more like the thoughts of a crazy person. At the very least it might tell her more about where she is, so she wipes her nose to keep herself from sniffling or crying, and walks up to the board.
