(Intro) A mystery?

Goro wasn't even considering what kinds of dreams he would have when he went to bed, but lo and behold, he finds himself in the Velvet Room... a room he's never seen before, being greeted by a very strange old man he's never met before.
He can't help but frown, finding this all odd. It certainly doesn't feel like a dream, he can't stick his finger through his palm or do any of the other tricks to tell if you're actually dreaming... so that leads him to believe that there's something afoot here. It's not just a dream.
It couldn't have to do with the Phantom Thieves and their methods, could it? No, that makes no sense... and yet there's nothing to disprove lack of connection to the Phantom Thieves. He's already had to admit that the idea of them having supernatural powers is a possibility, and so this would only be another bit of proof that that line of thinking was, in fact, correct.
But instead of staying silent in response to Igor, he speaks.
"...I see. Thank you for the kind introduction. I'll do just that."
He responds to Igor with that pleasant smile of his, but behind it lies concern. Why was he brought here? There was definitely a reason, and surely it couldn't just be 'making bonds'. As a detective, he couldn't accept that as the answer. Or perhaps it is the truth, but there's an ulterior motive, or...
...No, never mind. Standing around doing nothing isn't going to accomplish anything. No, he needs to actually investigate.
Let's see...
Option 1: The first thing Goro does is visit the conspiracy board. After all, that thing is going to have information on it no matter what, and... what the? His eyes widen as he reads everything on the board. Seriously? Surely this has to be a joke, all of this absurd-sounding information. And yet...
Option 2: Goro decides to step through one of the doors... straight into Inaba. He's visited Inaba on and off in the past alongside Naoto, so it would make sense that he'd check one of the familiar places. He finds himself getting a good look around, finding himself near the town's gas station as he takes in how real it feels.
Option 3: Kichijoji is familiar and comforting, but it's so odd when all of the people around have such a strangely cheery feeling to them. He finds himself trying to engage with the various cognitions, attempting to get information... to no avail.
